TAIT is a fast-paced company seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Buyer to join our procurement team. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing both products and third-party services to support business operations. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain processes, contract management, and vendor relationship management to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality goods and services at the best value. 
 
Essential Responsibilities 
<ul><li>
Identify and evaluate suppliers for products based on quality, cost, and delivery schedules.</li><li>
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure competitive rates and favorable terms.</li><li>
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent product quality and on-time delivery.</li><li>
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to forecast demand and prevent stock shortages.</li><li>
Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.</li><li>
Source and evaluate third-party service providers to meet business needs.</li><li>
Draft and manage service agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.</li><li>
Negotiate service terms, performance metrics, and pricing to align with business objectives.</li><li>
Monitor service provider performance, addressing issues and improving service delivery where necessary.</li><li>
Develop and implement strategies to optimize service quality and cost-effectiveness.</li><li>
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.</li><li>
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., project management, engineering, finance, operations, legal) to understand business requirements and align purchasing strategies.</li><li>
Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, supplier agreements, and performance evaluations.</li><li>
Identify and mitigate procurement risks through proactive supplier management and contingency planning.</li></ul>
Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.</li><li>
Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.</li><li>
Experience managing both product and service contracts.</li><li>
Proficiency in ERP software (currently Epicor) and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.</li><li>
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>
Experience in global sourcing and working with international suppliers.</li><li>
Knowledge of contract law and compliance standards.</li><li>
Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.</li></ul>
