Summary:
The Hartford is establishing a dedicated Vendor Management Office as part of the Strategic Sourcing &amp; Real Estate team to establish an enterprise-wide vendor management framework in a federated vendor management model. This team will work with vendor managers embedded within the lines of business and will collaborate with the Third Party Risk Management Office ensuring that The Hartford manages vendors effectively. 
The AVP, Vendor Management Office leads this centralized function. The AVP ensures that standards, policies, controls, and performance monitoring practices are defined, implemented and followed across all business units and functions while enabling flexibility for localized execution. This team ensures consistency, transparency, and compliance in vendor oversight while collaborating with decentralized business units and the Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Office to manage vendor activities effectively. The leader will engage actively with senior managers and executives across the company. This role will be based in our Hartford, CT, Home Office on a hybrid basis.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Lead a team within a centralized Vendor Management Office in the Strategic Sourcing &amp; Real Estate (SSRE) organization to design, implement, maintain and continuously evolve an enterprise-wide Vendor Management Framework, including policies, standards, processes, roles and responsibilities, controls, issue escalation and monitoring within a federated vendor management model, inclusive of education/training on vendor management (currently &gt;700 vendor managers)
</li><li>Oversee and mature the company&rsquo;s vendor management framework, fostering a proactive, data-driven approach to enable management of vendor performance, mitigation of risk and ensure compliance.</li><li>
Service as a center of excellence for vendor management practices and provide strategic direction for vendor managers to ensure consistency, transparency and compliance in vendor oversight while collaborating with decentralized business units, and the TPRM Office, to manage vendor activities effectively</li><li>
Engage with senior leaders, providing key coordination and communication with internal and external stakeholders</li><li>
Implement and maintain vendor management tools for use by vendor managers that enable performance monitoring and that provide visibility into vendor performance. Develop reporting/dashboards that provide an overall view of vendor performance
</li><li>Partner with the TPRM team to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and internal risk frameworks set by the TPRM Office</li><li>
Stay abreast of industry best practices to continue to evolve the framework</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
10+ years of experience in vendor management or leading a vendor management office with at least 3 years in a leadership role</li><li>
Proven track record implementing and leading a centralized vendor management office in a federated operating model with vendor managers embedded in lines of business, including the development of policies, standards, processes and roles and responsibilities of vendor managers and the vendor management office</li><li>
Highly proficient in vendor management frameworks with deep knowledge of vendor lifecycle management</li><li>
Strong strategic and operational mindset with excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills</li><li>
Exceptional consultative skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner</li><li>
Able to engage and influence at all organization levels</li><li>
Excellent project management skills with the ability to plan and implement complex cross-functional initiatives and coach others</li><li>
Experienced in Continuous Improvement with an innovative mindset coupled with an understanding of modern technologies relevant to the role</li><li>

RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Analyze complex legal and factual issues, conduct extensive and develop well- reasoned</li></ul>

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The Program Management Office (PMO) supports a variety of projects that are planned and executed by Hartford Investment Management. PMO members directly manage the largest and most complex of the projects within Hartford Investment Management and provide oversight and support to leaders of all other projects in the organization. The PMO seeks a Senior Project Manager/Senior Business Analyst with strong business analysis skills to help the organization execute project initiatives. This position will have contact with the senior members of the organization, so exceptional communication ability and presentation skills are critical.<ul><li>
10+ years&rsquo; experience</li><li>
BS/BA or related experience in Finance, Accounting, Business or Technology strongly preferred.</li><li>
Advanced degree or professional designations such as PMP or MBA a plus.</li><li>
Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex investment management projects.</li><li>
Expertise in project management and/or business analyst methodologies, with preference for Agile approaches.</li><li>
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to synthesize technical and business perspectives.</li><li>

The Hartford is seeking an Assistant Vice President (AVP), Data Science to lead the Generative AI (GenAI) Data Science teams within the Personal Insurance organization. This pivotal leadership role will be responsible for driving our Customer Centric strategy, with the two major focus areas being Price to Risk and Customer Experience. The AVP will oversee the development and execution of advanced analytics and AI capabilities that enhance pricing accuracy, feature development, operational efficiencies, and customer experience across the Personal Insurance lifecycle.
This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work schedule. Candidates who live near one of our PI HUB office locations (Hartford, CT. San Antonio, TX. Scottsdale, AZ. Charlotte, NC. Tampa, FL. Columbus, OH.) will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise. Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Lead 11 FTEs in the GenAI Data Science teams focused on Price to Risk and Customer Experience within Personal Insurance.</li><li>
Develop and execute a research agenda to embed AI and automation into pricing, underwriting, and customer interaction processes.</li><li>
Manage the development and enhancement of pricing and operational models, integrated into the scaled agile framework of the Personal Insurance business unit.</li><li>
Serve as a member of the Personal Insurance extended Data and Analytics leadership team and provide thought leadership across data science and business domains.</li><li>
Lead the development of Agentic AI and LLM-based solutions to optimize business processes and enhance decision-making transparency.</li><li>
Hire, train, and develop a high-performing team, including budget and resource management.</li><li>
Identify and integrate new data sources and AI tools to improve business outcomes and customer satisfaction.</li><li>
Collaborate with technology, data, and business partners to embed AI capabilities into end-user technology and business processes.</li><li>
Drive the development of reusable analytic assets and scalable AI solutions.</li><li>
Champion the integration of AI solutions within The Hartford&rsquo;s AI platform to ensure governance, scalability, and reuse.</li><li>
Oversee end-to-end AI projects from problem formulation to deployment and monitoring, ensuring alignment with business goals.</li><li>
Provide evidence of delivery of the data science work supporting our PI GenAI INVEST to the Transformation Office and Business Process Council.</li></ul>
Required Experience:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree (Master&rsquo;s or Ph.D. preferred) in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Quantitative Economics, Computer Science or a related analytical field.</li><li>
10+ years of relevant experience in Data Science or AI within Insurance or Financial Services.</li><li>
8+ years of experience leading technical teams and managing complex analytic projects.</li><li>
5+ years of experience developing and deploying data science solutions within Personal Insurance.</li><li>
Experience in Loss Modeling, Underwriting and Sales Modeling is preferred.</li><li>
Subject matter expertise in Generative AI, Agentic AI, and machine learning model development including Gradient Boosted Machines (GBMs), Computer Vision, Neural Networks and Generalized Linear Models (GLMs).</li><li>
Experience developing and deploying Class Plan Pricing models as well as regulatory requirements.</li><li>
Proficiency in responsible AI practices, model governance, and regulatory compliance.</li><li>
Experience in creating production environment data analytic solutions and applications.</li><li>
Proven experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions in multi-cloud environments, with a strong preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly Vertex AI.</li><li>
Experience leading migration of AI/ML solutions across cloud platforms, especially transitioning workloads and models from AWS to GCP, ensuring performance optimization and cost efficiency.</li><li>
Deep understanding of data pipelines, model lifecycle management, and CI/CD pipelines across GCP and AWS ecosystems.</li><li>
Ability to evaluate and integrate cloud-specific GenAI tooling into enterprise AI platforms, ensuring governance, scalability, and reuse.</li><li>
