Are you ready to take on a pivotal leadership role within the Complex Claims Unit (CCU) &ndash; Latent Bodily Injury? CCU is a highly specialized home office claim unit responsible for managing the Company's legacy/long-tail bodily injury claims. Claims within CCU are often associated with more complex coverage issues that could potentially span multiple years of insurance coverage. These claims commonly involve litigation, require specific expertise to manage, and often entail significant exposures. As a Claim Manager, you will be responsible for delivering consistently high-quality work, outstanding customer service, driving innovation, and coaching a diverse and inclusive team of adjusters, engaging them to handle some of the Company's most complex and high-exposure bodily injury claims.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Effectively train, coach, and develop staff to enable them to perform their jobs and achieve individual and professional goals.</li><li>
Oversee a caseload of complex latent bodily injury claims, ensuring accurate and timely coverage review, investigation, evaluation, and settlement by the team.</li><li>
Drive the development and implementation of innovative disposition strategies and consistently strive for settlement results in a timely manner.</li><li>
Effectively communicate and teach a thorough understanding of business vision, strategies and plans for achieving business goals.</li><li>
Evaluate and communicate current industry reporting, jurisdictional updates and marketplace trends for key changes which may impact the business segment.</li><li>
Monitor financial results, trending and variances from target including identifying and implementing appropriate adjustments.</li><li>
Partner with the Property and Casualty Coverage Unit (Law Department,) Operations, Reinsurance, Underwriting, Products, Agents, Brokers, in-house and outside Counsel, Experts, outside Contractors and Leadership.</li><li>
Ensure exceptional customer service and quality claim handling.</li><li>
Build a high performing team with diverse characteristics, where individual differences are valued.</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred, advanced degree a plus.</li><li>
Minimum of 5 years of general liability claim experience within a property/casualty claim organization.</li><li>
Experience with latent/long-tail asbestos and/or sexual molestation claims and an understanding of complex coverage issues.</li><li>
Superior negotiation and resolution skills.</li><li>
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>
 Prior management (direct leadership, peer mentorship or project oversight) experience is required.</li><li>
Ability to make coverage and liability assessments/recommendations in consideration of applicable laws.</li><li>
Ability to successfully prioritize workload while meeting targeted deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to provide coaching and strategic direction to adjusters and provide trustworthy strategic recommendations to management.</li><li>
A proven ability to collaborate with peers to identify opportunities and develop solutions to drive continuous improvement.</li><li>
Solid technical acumen and proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, &amp; Excel), MS CoPilot, with a proven record of quickly mastering other technological applications and systems.</li><li>
 Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding service to our customers.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to lead, engage, inspire, and motivate a team to achieve operational and business objectives as well as their own personal potential.</li><li>
Strong analytical and critical thinking ability.</li></ul>
This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of our office locations (Hartford, CT, San Antonio, TX, Lake Mary, FL, Phoenix, AZ, Naperville, IL) will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford&rsquo;s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$112,000 - $168,000

Licensing Requirements: To be considered for this role, candidates must hold or be able to obtain a Personal Lines or Property &amp; Casualty insurance producer&rsquo;s license prior to hire.
The Hartford Insurance, founded in 1810, is a well-established insurance company and an exclusive provider of Home and Auto Insurance for AARP members since 1984.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Personal Insurance Auto and Home Agents will be responsible for:<ul><li>
Providing comprehensive insurance solutions</li><li>
Evaluating risk</li><li>
Confidently asking for the sale while overcoming objections</li></ul>
WORK SCHEDULE 
This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work schedule.
Candidates who live near one of our office locations (Hartford, CT | San Antonio, TX) will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work schedule, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.
Training Program:<ul><li>
Start Date: 5/4/2026</li><li>
Duration: 14 weeks (apx. End date of 7/31 performance-dependent).</li><li>
Please note that time off during training is not accommodated.</li></ul>
Training Hours: Mon-Fri 9:30-6 pm Eastern
Post-Training Hours: Mon-Fri 11:30-8 pm local time, every other Sunday 9:30-6 pm Eastern. For the weeks you work on Sunday, you will receive Thursday off.
To ensure consistency and meet business requirements, schedules are fixed for at least the first year of employment. After this period, opportunities for schedule adjustments may be considered based on business needs and operational priorities.
COMPENSATION
The hourly rate for this position is $23
We are a metric driven, pay-for-performance, award-winning sales organization. There is potential to earn lucrative rewards, including monthly, quarterly, and annual pay-outs along with sales incentives and contests. Average monthly earnings are $500+, with top monthly earners exceeding $2000.
There is an opportunity to earn up to a 10% shift differential for the schedule, post-training.
An additional differential is available for bilingual (Spanish-English), post-certification.
QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>
2 + years of recent sales experience and comfort with negotiating and overcoming objections</li><li>
Sales experience in Insurance, Retail, Banking, highly preferred; Inbound sales experience a plus</li><li>
Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling an average of 30-40 inbound calls per day.</li><li>
Capability to maintain all state licenses and terminate prior carrier relationships as applicable.</li><li>
Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.</li><li>
This is a customer-facing role requiring your full attention. A distraction free environment is essential.</li><li>
High speed broadband cable internet service with minimum upload/download speeds of 100MB download/10MB upload.
