 We are seeking an experienced and innovative Scientist in Analytical Chemistry to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced expertise in analytical chemistry and a proven track record of leading complex research projects. This role involves overseeing analytical operations, driving method development, participating in the GLP program, and contributing to strategic R&amp;D initiatives. The Scientist will be expected to mentor junior scientists and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to advance our scientific goals.
 
 
 
 In this role you will:
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Sample Preparation, Analysis, and Data Interpretation - Prepare and process samples for analysis, including extraction, dilution, and dissolution. Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses of samples using various analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, MS, and spectroscopy. Analyze and interpret experimental data, and prepare comprehensive reports.
 </li>
 <li>
 Method Development and Validation - Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods for the characterization of chemical compounds and materials.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experimental Design and Execution - Stay updated on advancements in analytical chemistry and incorporate new techniques and best practices to enhance laboratory processes.
 </li>
 <li>
 Leadership and Mentoring - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including research, development, and quality assurance. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior scientists and laboratory staff.
 </li>
 <li>
 Equipment Maintenance - Ensure proper operation and maintenance of analytical instruments, troubleshoot technical issues, and perform routine calibrations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Safety - Adhere to laboratory safety guidelines and procedures, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
 
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 What you'll need to be successful:
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelors Degree, Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related degree
 </li>
 <li>
 4-7 years of experience preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in analytical chemistry role, with several years of hands-on experience in method development,validation, and advanced analytical techniques. ------Experience in quality management systems and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
 
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Skills:
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Expertise in HPLC, GC, GC-MS, LC-MS, NMR, and other analytical techniques.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in data analysis software and statistical tools.
 </li>
 <li>
 Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams, manage projects, and drive research initiatives.
 </li>
 <li>
 Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and develop innovative solutions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information
 
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $77,200.00 - $90,800.00 per year. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.In addition to the determined base salary, this role is also incentive eligible under our corporate bonus programs.For remote roles where the final candidate resides in Alaska, California, Colorado, Illinois, New York, Oregon or Washington, state required pay thresholds will be factored into base salary.
