<b>Position Summary</b></div>
The Life Sciences Sales Representative drives revenue growth by selling Thomas Scientific's portfolio of laboratory products, consumables, equipment, and solutions to customers across the life science market, including biotech, pharmaceutical, academic, and clinical research laboratories. This role owns an assigned territory and is responsible for growing existing accounts, developing new business, and serving as a trusted consultative partner to scientists, lab managers, and procurement teams.<div><br>

Key Responsibilities</b></div><ul><li>
Achieve or exceed annual sales targets and growth objectives within the assigned territory.</li><li>
Develop and execute a territory business plan that prioritizes account retention, penetration, and new customer acquisition.</li><li>
Build and maintain strong relationships with researchers, lab managers, procurement professionals, and other key decision-makers.</li><li>
Conduct regular in-person and virtual customer visits to understand workflows, identify needs, and recommend appropriate products and solutions.</li><li>
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through quoting, negotiation, and close.</li><li>
Partner with supplier representatives and internal specialists to deliver joint sales calls, product demonstrations, and technical support.</li><li>
Maintain accurate and timely records of customer activity, opportunities, and forecasts in Salesforce.</li><li>
Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback; communicate insights to sales leadership and category management.</li><li>
Collaborate with customer experience, pricing, and operations teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and timely issue resolution.</li><li>
Represent Thomas Scientific at trade shows, vendor days, and customer events as needed.</li></ul><div><b>
Qualifications</b></div><ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in a life science discipline (biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>
2+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in laboratory products, life science distribution, or scientific/medical sales; laboratory bench experience is a plus.</li><li>
Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.</li><li>
Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and territory management skills.</li><li>
Working knowledge of laboratory environments, research workflows, and common lab products and equipment.</li><li>
Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office.</li><li>
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.</li><li>
Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a field-based role.</li><li>
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory (overnight travel as needed).</li></ul><div><b>
Working Conditions &amp; Physical Requirements</b></div><ul><li>
Field-based role with regular daily travel by car within the territory; occasional overnight travel for training, trade shows, and company meetings.</li><li>
Frequent visits to laboratory, clinical, and industrial environments; must follow customer site safety requirements.</li><li>
Ability to lift and transport product samples and demonstration materials up to 25 lbs.</li></ul><div><b>
