Job Description:A Developer must have experience in analyzing customer needs and developing overall concept and design objectives. The developer must be able to create software in a variety of programming and for a variety of IT software applications. You&rsquo;ll analyze the needs and the environment to make sure the solution you&rsquo;re developing considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. You&rsquo;ll need to be able to work both independently and as part of a larger team.Required Years of Experience: 5+ years of relevant working experience.Required Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required. An additional (8) years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree (13 total).Required Qualifications: <ul><li>Experience with service orientation concepts and enabling technologies</li><li>Experience with Software Development and Implementation</li><li>Software development skills, including design, development, testing, deployment and support</li><li>Experience in debugging and correcting errors in computer programs.</li><li>Experience using Agile methodologies, system architecture and object-oriented software design: Ruby on Rails, REST, SOAP Web Services, JavaScript, React, Redux, RDBMS (Oracle, SQL, postgres)</li><li>Ability to obtain VA Medium-Background Investigation clearance</li><li>Experience leading and mentoring junior developers</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Containerized applications and management systems such as Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift</li><li>Experience with BPM tools such as Camunda</li><li>Experience with CI/CD process tools like Jenkins</li><li>Experience with any AWS technologies</li><li>Experience working with Ruby on Rails libraries, such as like RSpec</li><li>Ability to write clean Ruby code</li><li>Proficiency with code versioning tools including Git, Github, SVN, and Mercurial</li><li>Experience with React and Redux</li><li>Experience with frontend testing frameworks, i.e., Jest</li><li>Familiarity with MVC, Mocking, RESTful, and ORM</li><li>Good understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3</li></ul>Compensation:The salary is budgeted at $85,000-$95,000 annually, plus benefits.
