<p>
The Technician II supports preventive maintenance activities, training, and troubleshoots/repairs equipment and facility related issues under supervision (if needed). The Technician II participates in projects and team activities and provides feedback to support updating maintenance and facility related procedures.</p><p>
Maintenance Technicians perform preventive, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance associated with the TSMD&rsquo;s manufacturing equipment and systems with the goal of maximizing equipment uptime and cost efficiency. Some of the equipment includes Hydraulic Presses, Computer Numerical control (CNC), Rolling Mills, Coordinate-Measuring Machines, Electron Beam Welders, Metal Casters, and Automation Systems. Technicians use their knowledge/experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, vacuum, robotic, and programable ladder logic. Technicians create, update, and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) procedures to move toward a predictive maintenance environment.</p><div><p><b>

The Technician II reports to the Area Department Supervisor or Manager.</p><div><p><b>
Major Duties and Responsibilities</b></p></div><br>
<ul><li>
Assists on-boarding activities of new Technicians.
</li><li>Works under general supervision.</li><li>
Works on assigned equipment and preventive maintenance related work orders.</li><li>
Contributes to updating preventive maintenance procedures.</li><li>
Demonstrates flexibility of schedule when pursuing training opportunities to achieve personal and company objectives.</li><li>
Understands and adheres to all safety requirements. Communicates identified risks to leadership and assists in resolution.</li><li>
Completes all 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) standards to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.</li><li>
Maintains regular and reliable attendance.</li><li>
Contributes to culture through alignment with company values and code of conduct. Maintains a positive attitude, displays enthusiasm for assigned tasks, and communicates effectively and professionally with team members.</li><li>

Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>
Working knowledge of Microsoft programs: Word, Excel, and Outlook.</li><li>
Ability to work effectively with different personnel throughout the workday.</li><li>

Basic understanding of equipment and systems repair and preventive maintenance.
</li><li>Ability to document and effectively communicate the work performed.
</li><li>Advanced Beginner at understanding of tools and test equipment.

Physical Requirements</b></p></div><br>

May work from settings requiring ladders, lifts, or from the rooftop and other situations requiring exposure to heights.

Ability to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis.</li><li>
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.</li><li>
