Summary
We are looking for a digital-savvy strategist with both B2B/ B2C experience, someone who can bring e-commerce growth expertise from consumer industries and adapt it to the complexity of life sciences. As Marketing Communications Manager, you own revenue growth across our online storefronts by planning and executing data-driven campaigns, optimizing PDPs/funnels, and scaling lifecycle automation to lift traffic, conversion, AOV and retention. You will lead the Marketing Communications Team (EU &amp; US) within the Global Marketing Communications and Branding team of Tosoh Bioscience Separations. 
This is not a generic campaign management role. You will be the driver of customer-centric, creative, analytics-led strategies that strengthen engagement in highly technical B2B markets and accelerate adoption of our new e-commerce platform. Your mission is to translate scientific insights into compelling, digital-first customer journeys &ndash; building trust, driving measurable impact, and connecting science with customers worldwide.
Reporting Relationships
The Marketing Communications Manager reports to the Director of Marketing. This position has two direct reports.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Planning &amp; Campaign Design<ul><li>
Develop integrated marketing and e-commerce strategies aligned with global objectives.</li><li>
Design data-driven, omnichannel campaigns that build brand trust and drive measurable growth.</li><li>
Collaborate with BI/CRM and Operations teams to optimize campaigns with analytics and insights.</li><li>
Define a quarterly promo/test calendar (offers, bundles, thresholds) with clear hypotheses and guardrails.</li></ul>
Content &amp; Digital Experience<ul><li>
Oversee the creation of high-quality content and assets tailored to scientific and technical audiences.</li><li>
Ensure consistency of brand messaging across digital channels, campaigns, and e-commerce listings.</li><li>
Partner with MarTech to implement personalized and automated marketing journeys.</li><li>
Own on-site merchandising and CRO: PDP/category optimization, search &amp; filter tuning, bundling, cross-sell/upsell, trust signals, and zero-result search analysis.</li></ul>
Campaign Execution &amp; E-commerce Growth<ul><li>
Lead Campaign Orchestration: Briefs, channel mix, budgets, execution and QA&mdash;end-to-end ownership of integrated campaigns.</li><li>
Apply e-commerce expertise to increase adoption, conversion, and online sales.</li><li>
Leverage analytics for segmentation, personalization, and funnel optimization.</li><li>
Set clear KPIs (traffic, CVR, AOV, ROAS/LTV) and run an experiment roadmap to improve them.</li><li>
Lifecycle &amp; Automation: blueprint + build key flows (welcome, browse/cart abandonment, cross-sell, win-back) with segmentation, dynamic content, and suppression rules.</li><li>
Translate insight - action: weekly readouts, experiment results, and next-best tests; close the loop with Sales on revenue impact</li></ul>
Events &amp; Industry Engagement<ul><li>
Plan and manage online &amp; offline events (ex. congresses, webinars).</li><li>
Align offline events with digital and e-commerce campaigns to maximize impact.</li></ul>
Leadership &amp; Collaboration<ul><li>
Lead and mentor the Marketing Communications Team, strengthening digital and strategic capabilities.</li><li>
Manage the Marketing Communications team by establishing clear goals and expectations, providing ongoing employee coaching and feedback, and supporting employee training and development.</li><li>
Recruit and train new team members as needed.</li><li>
Plan, prioritize, and delegate tasks to team to ensure proper functioning of the department.</li><li>
Work closely with scientists, commercial, and cross-functional teams to translate complex science into compelling narratives.</li><li>
Foster collaboration with Mar Tech, Operations, and BI/CRM teams for scalable delivery.</li></ul>
Compliance &amp; Continuous Improvement<ul><li>
Ensure all campaigns comply with industry regulations and Quality Management System.</li><li>
Track competitor strategies and B2C-to-B2B innovation trends to keep Tosoh ahead.</li><li>
Other duties as required.</li><li>
Maintain regular and reliable attendance.</li><li>
Uphold and adhere to the Tosoh Bioscience guiding principles.</li></ul>
Education
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or Life Sciences; Master&rsquo;s degree is a plus.
Skills and Qualifications<ul><li>
7+ years in digital marketing and campaign strategy, with proven success in e-commerce and omnichannel marketing. Experience from B2C industries (retail, consumer goods, sports, lifestyle) combined with exposure to B2B or regulated markets (biotech, pharma, diagnostics) is highly valued.
</li><li>Demonstrated ability to drive digital growth, adoption, and online sales through integrated e-commerce strategies.</li><li>
Strong ability to simplify complex or technical content into clear, engaging campaigns tailored to specialized audiences.</li><li>
Hands-on expertise in:<ul><li>
Campaign orchestration &amp; lifecycle automation in HubSpot/Pardot/Marketo (welcome, browse/cart, cross-sell, win-back).</li><li>
E-commerce platforms &amp; feeds: Shopify/BigCommerce/SFCC/Magento; product feeds/marketplaces.</li><li>
CRM &amp; reporting: Salesforce (preferred), data segmentation and dashboard building.</li><li>
SEO/SEM &amp; PPC; performance marketing and on-site CRO (A/B testing, PDP/category optimization).</li><li>
Analytics &amp; tagging: GA4, Google Tag Manager, UTM governance, experiment readouts.</li><li>
Paid media: Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads (retargeting a plus).</li></ul></li></ul>
Note: Advanced/technical SEO and large-scale initiatives are partnered with the Growth/SEO team; this role is expected to operate at a strong working level and collaborate on deeper items.<ul><li>
Excellent analytical skills with experience in using dashboards, KPIs, and customer insights to optimize marketing ROI.</li><li>
Proven leadership and team management experience with the ability to inspire cross-functional teams.</li><li>
Strong interpersonal skills, able to work closely with scientists, product managers, and global teams.</li><li>
Strategic thinker, detail-oriented, and adaptable; curious to learn and succeed in complex life sciences markets.</li><li>
Creative mindset with the ability to design innovative campaigns and customer experiences while staying data-driven.</li><li>
Experience in the bioscience, pharma, or chromatography industry with understanding of scientific audiences.</li><li>
Familiarity with lead nurturing journeys and customer lifecycle marketing.</li><li>
Multilingual proficiency to collaborate effectively across global regions.</li><li>
