We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting daily office operations, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring efficient operations processes. This position requires strong communication skills, proficiency in various software applications, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.</div><div></div><div><br>

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Greets and directs customers and drivers both inbound and outbound in the will call desk.</li><li>
Enters will calls, outbound trucks and inbound trucks into will call log spreadsheet.</li><li>
Gathers manifests and organizes and separates BOL's from driver load paperwork.</li><li>
Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.</li><li>
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.</li><li>
Balances cash and prepares bank transactions.</li><li>
Processes online credit card processing, collections.</li><li>
Manages the will call shipping and receiving schedule.</li><li>
Keeps supplies stocked and inventoried.</li><li>
Communicates with both operations and sales for scheduling and resolving problems.</li><li>
Must be friendly &amp; professional.</li><li>
Helps with special projects/ general admin duties.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<p>
Education and Experience:</p><ul><li>
High School Diploma or equivalent
</li><li>7years previous experience in the steel industry/Safety, Training, and Quality Management</li></ul><p>
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:</p><ul><li>
Telephone skills.</li><li>
Good communication skills.</li><li>
Multitasking skills.</li><li>
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.</li><li>
Ability to work accurately, concisely, and independently and as part of a team in a multi-tasking environment.</li></ul><div>
Physical Requirements:</div><ul><li>
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li><li>
Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at times.</li><li>
Ability to travel throughout facility as required to conduct safety inspections</li></ul></div>
