1. Serve as primary business development officer for Workplace Banking and Financial Empowerment segment in assigned territory. Responsible for growing underserved (unbanked and underbanked) retail households through business to business to consumer sales efforts and meeting program targets. 
2. Develop a business pipeline and conduct regular pre-planned sales calls with key decision makers in defined segment to create strategic partnerships through strong relationship management with places of business, organizations and non-profits utilizing the Bank's sales processes and strategies 
3. Execute on daily business development activities that meet behavior, sales and retention goals including effective delivery of complex marketing/group sales presentations to key consumer segment groups via strategic relationships with businesses, organizations and non-profits. 
4. Develop and facilitate product account opening sessions utilizing digital and branch channels, and promote financial wellness resources for key consumer segment clients. 
5. Prioritize calling efforts to achieve maximum results in alignment with organizational objectives, including prospecting and market development. 
6. Responsible for continued support and reinforcement of bank strategies toward improving client service quality. 
7. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Emerging Markets segments, retail banking, operational procedures and competitive programs and products in local markets. 
8. Partner to build internal reciprocal referral partnerships, deepen client relationships and increase penetration in CIG, Middle Market and Commercial client portfolios. 
9. Work with Retail Community Bank Leadership partners to provide sales support, joint sales calling, and, as appropriate, and local training. 
10. Actively engage in segment specific networking within local assigned territory to develop key strategic partnerships, representing the Bank through community and group/association involvement to develop contacts for potential business. 
11. Proactively cultivate Centers of Influence, such as non-profit organizations/associations, Chamber of Commerce and other appropriate groups to keep an active source of referrals. 
QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

The annual base salary for this position is $85,000 - $105,000.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provides independent risk oversight (i.e. second line of defense/LOD2) for Truist Technology and related consult to Truist Business Units through the effective identification, mitigation, monitoring and reporting of technology risk and other related risks (e.g., operational, compliance) within Enterprise Technology.
2. Serve as a subject matter expert and steward of the Technology Risk Framework to identify, report and mitigate technology risks.
3. Execute independent assessment and oversight of the maturity of technology and adequacy of technology controls to achieve business outcomes for performance, stability, security and service availability.
4. Strengthen and sustains proactive risk culture through conducting effective risk focused management and partnership routines with technology teams and internal partners.
5. Review and challenge outcomes of first-line-of-defense risk program execution.
6. Monitor legal, regulatory, compliance and audit matters for assigned Technology oversight area and ensures timely action.
7. Contribute to complex projects which may have both technology and enterprise wide impact beyond risk management.
8. Comfortable and has demonstrated effectiveness in interdisciplinary, matrix environments.
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. 5+ years of banking, technology, operations or risk management experience.
3. Strong business acumen / knowledge, problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications:<div><div><ul><li>
Cloud Risk Management Expertise (AWS‑Centric, Financial Services)</li></ul>
Deep experience overseeing cloud risk within a regulated banking or financial services environment, with strong command of AWS services, cloud shared responsibility models, and key risk domains (IAM, data security, resiliency, availability, third‑party risk, and regulatory compliance).
Demonstrated ability to assess whether cloud risks are identified, understood, and appropriately managed as cloud adoption scales.<ul><li>
Second Line of Defense Leadership &amp; Independent Challenge</li></ul>
Proven success operating in a second line of defense role, providing independent oversight, credible challenge, and risk transparency related to cloud technologies.
Strong understanding of regulatory expectations, enterprise risk frameworks, and risk appetite, with the ability to evaluate first line cloud strategies, designs, and control environments for alignment with sound risk management practices.<ul><li>
Cloud Architecture Acumen &amp; Executive Advisory Capability</li></ul>
Solid understanding of cloud architecture patterns and enterprise cloud transformation initiatives, enabling effective risk-based guidance and challenge.<ul><li>
Demonstrated ability to partner with and support first line Technology executives by advising on cloud risk implications, control design considerations, and risk-informed decision-making&mdash;while maintaining appropriate independence.</li></ul><ul><li>
Familiarity with enterprise Governance Risk and Compliance (eGRC) platforms and tools (e.g., RSA Archer)</li></ul></div></div>
