This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children&rsquo;s lives while working in a supportive and collaborative setting.Duties<ul><li>Lead the planning and implementation of age-appropriate curricula for preschool and school-age children, incorporating elements of literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.</li><li>Manage classroom environments effectively by utilizing strong classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior and engagement.</li><li>Develop individualized lesson plans that align with developmental milestones, early intervention strategies, and standardized testing requirements.</li><li>Foster open communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on child progress, behavior, and developmental milestones to build trust and collaborative relationships.</li><li>Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare standards by maintaining accurate records of incidents, attendance, and developmental assessments.</li><li>Incorporate special education principles into daily activities to support children with diverse learning needs, including those requiring additional support through early intervention programs.</li><li>Maintain a safe environment by adhering to first aid and CPR protocols, conducting routine safety checks, and promoting health practices within the classroom.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience working with children across preschool age groups and school-age settings, demonstrating strong classroom experience in early childhood education.</li><li>Knowledge of child development instruction methods, childhood development theories, and best practices in childcare.</li><li>Familiarity with curriculum development processes that include literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and behavior management techniques.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators using excellent communication skills.</li><li>Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in mandated reporting laws is essential.</li><li>Experience working with children who have special needs or require early intervention services is highly desirable.</li><li>Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, classroom management, and maintaining detailed records in compliance with regulatory standards.</li><li>Previous experience teaching in private or preschool settings is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for fostering a positive learning environment is essential.</li></ul>Join us as a Lead School Age and Preschool Teacher in Varina to ignite young minds through innovative teaching practices!
