<div>The Purchasing Specialist manages the flow of supplies and specialty products to ensure materials are available for patient care in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday out of our Blain surgery center. Schedule will be during center hours, varying between 6:30am-4:30pm. 

Essential Functions:
<ul>
<li>Continually monitors and manages inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies for daily operations</li>
<li>Manages the purchase order process, receiving, and replenishment of all supplies for the surgery center</li>
<li>Identify, resolve, and communicate product availability issues appropriately</li>
<li>Coordinates inventory management activities at the surgery center</li>
<li>Oversees and coordinates physical inventory process at the sites
</li><li>Manages par areas and par levels within the surgery center and maintains accuracy in the inventory system</li>
<li>Review and complete purchase orders to align with contract compliance, product standardization, and conformity to policies.</li>
<li>Confirm order status, resolve daily issues, and communicate with internal customers.</li>
<li>Complete purchase orders for implants and conduct chart audits for accuracy.</li>
<li>Maintain positive relations with internal stakeholders and suppliers.</li>
<li>Assist with Supply Chain Operations initiatives including value analysis and product trials.</li>
<li>Maintain reports including open PO and receipt accrual</li>
<li>Process transactions for equipment and instrument procurement and maintenance.</li>
<li>Review and facilitate specialized tissue, implant, and supply requests from OR staff/surgeons.</li>
<li>Work with Accounts Payable to identify and resolve PO and invoice errors.</li>
<li>Ability to lift objects more than 25 pounds and less than 60. Able to push/pull objects more than 50 pounds on a cart</li>

Education and Experience Requirements:
<ul>
<li>High School diploma/GED or equivalent</li>
<li>Associate degree preferred</li>
<li>Minimum two years of experience in materials management related position such as purchasing, inventory management, or hospital supply chain</li></ul>

Working Conditions:

<li>Ability to sit for extended periods (up to 8 or more hours per day).</li>
<li>Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.</li>
<li>Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching within the office environment.</li>
<li>Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.</li>
<li>Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents.</li>
<li>Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly.</li>
<li>Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer).</li></ul>
