<div>The Purchasing Specialist manages the flow of supplies and specialty products to ensure materials are available for patient care in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

This is a part-time (0.8) position working M-F out of Two Twelve Surgery Center in Chaska, with one day off each week.

Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Functions:</h5>
<ul><li>Continually monitors and manages inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies for daily operations</li>
<li>Manages the purchase order process, receiving, and replenishment of all supplies for the surgery center</li>
<li>Identify, resolve, and communicate product availability issues appropriately</li>
<li>Coordinates inventory management activities at the surgery center</li>
<li>Assists with value analysis and product trials</li>
<li>Manages the SharePoint process for equipment and instruments for cases in conjunction with the OR Manager</li>
<li>Oversees and coordinates physical inventory process at the sites</li>
<li>Manages par areas within the surgery center and maintains accuracy in the inventory system</li>
<li>Maintains accurate information within inventory and clinical systems</li>
<li>Ability to lift objects more than 25 pounds and less than 60. Able to push/pull objects more than 50 pounds on a cart</li>
<li>Any and all other duties as assigned</li>

Education and Experience Requirements:
<ul>
<li>High School diploma/GED or equivalent</li>
<li>Associate degree preferred</li>
<li>Minimum two years of experience in materials management related position such as purchasing, inventory management, or hospital supply chain</li>

<li>Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds with occasional lifting and moving of a maximum of 50 pounds may be required</li>
<li>Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlines</li>
<li>Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner</li>
<li>Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations</li>
<li>Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions</li>
<li>Understand and execute a variety of instructions</li>
<li>Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system</li>
<li>Work independently with minimal supervision</li>
<li>Travel to other work locations, if required</li>
