Removes and reapplies splints, braces, cervical collars, skin and skeletal traction, anti-embolic stockings.</p><p>
Performs post-mortem care.</p><p>
Distributes and removes food trays, sets up meal trays, positions and prepares patient for meals, assists and/or feeds patient, assists with menu selection, records calorie counts, provides snacks and fluids, monitors head of bed (HOB) with patients receiving tube feedings.</p><p>
Assists with turning, coughing and deep breathing; provides follow-up to incentive spirometry; reapplies O2 cannula/mask, provide portable oxygen tank for transport.</p><p>
May perform EKG&rsquo;s,mobile care phlebotomy (MCP), and blood glucose.</p><p><b>

o State Tested Nursing Aide Training; Acute Medical Surgical Training or Hospital Specific Training.<br>
o May be a student from an accredited RN program that has successfully completed a medical surgical rotation or another acute care rotation.<br>

<div><p><b>Registered Nurse (RN -CN 1), Nights, Burn/ENT Special Care Unit, ONA</b></p><p><b>
Burn/ENT Special Care Unit (BESCU)- 5 South</b></p><p>
The Burn/ENT Special Care Unit (BESCU) provides specialized care for a diverse group of</p><p>
older adolescent and adult patients. The service manages individuals with acute burn injuries,</p><p>
complex wounds, and various skin conditions requiring advanced treatment and reconstruction.</p><p>
In addition, BESCU delivers expert care for Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) patients undergoing</p><p>
major head and neck cancer surgery and reconstructive procedures, including free flap</p><p>
reconstruction. The unit also supports patients with newly created surgical airways such as</p><p>
tracheostomies, laryngectomies, and stents, as well as those receiving treatment for airway</p><p>
stenosis and other complex ENT reconstruction surgeries.</p><p>
The inpatient ICU is a 10-bed unit with variable acuity.</p><p></p><p><b><br>

<div><p>The Medical Assistant functions as an integral part of the Clinical office staff where the Medical Assistants perform administrative and clinical duties. Responsible for obtaining intake information for a specific patient population, performing tasks and treatments as delegated by licensed personnel and direct patient care as required. Assists the provider in documenting notes, orders and prescriptions by setting them up in the Electronic Medical Record. All documents, prescriptions, and orders will be pended to the provider to review, edit, and sign as appropriate.</p><p>
Prepare and maintenance of the clinic area to include but not to limited to: cleaning and stocking examination rooms, daily setup and securing of computer (laptops) equipment, and maintenance of diagnostic equipment.</p><p>
Return routine patient telephone calls such as prescription refills or pre-certification for medication as directed from the Electronic Medical Record with appropriate and timely documentation regarding actions taken.</p><p>
Coordinate ancillary services such as diagnostic testing/imaging, hospital procedures and/or admission, additional patient visits, and acquisition of pertinent medical records.</p><p>
Maintain positive, professional and cooperative demeanor throughout all interactions with patients, staff, physicians and members of management.</p><p>
