(UST) is seeking a skilled and dedicated Forklift Mechanical Technician to join our dynamic team in Jeddah. This is a full-time position critical to the success of our operational activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of our fleet of forklifts and other material handling equipment, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and safety. You will play a vital role in minimising equipment downtime and supporting the efficiency of our supply chain operations. Responsibilities * Perform routine preventative maintenance and comprehensive inspections on all forklifts and associated material handling equipment. * Diagnose and troubleshoot a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults with precision and efficiency. * Conduct timely and effective repairs, including the replacement of engines, transmissions, electrical components, and hydraulic systems. * Maintain meticulous and accurate records of all service, maintenance, and repair work performed. * Ensure strict adherence to all company health and safety policies and industry regulations. * Manage the inventory of spare parts, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability for scheduled and unscheduled repairs. * Liaise with the operations team to schedule maintenance tasks and minimise disruption to daily activities. * Provide technical support and guidance to equipment operators on proper usage and daily checks. Qualifications * Proven experience working as a Forklift Technician, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, or in a similar technical role. * Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems specific to forklifts and material handling equipment. * Proficiency in using a variety of diagnostic tools, hand tools, and workshop equipment. * A relevant vocational qualification, apprenticeship, or certification in mechanical engineering or a related field is highly desirable. * Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to fault-finding and repairs. * The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment. * A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and a high standard of work. * Good communication skills are essential.
