Position Summary
The Manager of Revenue Accounting is responsible for overseeing the daily execution of revenue accounting activities and supporting the end-to-end order-to-cash process. This role ensures accurate revenue recognition, timely financial reporting, compliance with U.S. GAAP and ASC 606, and strong financial controls across revenue operations.
Reporting to the Director of Revenue Accounting &amp; Financial Operations, the Manager partners closely with Finance, Operations, Commercial, Legal, IT, and other cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence, improve accounting processes, and support organizational growth. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting leader with strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership skills, and experience managing high-volume financial operations.
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Manage daily revenue accounting operations, including billing, revenue recognition, collections support, cash application, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.</li><li>
Oversee the execution of the order-to-cash process while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.</li><li>
Review customer contracts and collaborate with business partners to determine appropriate revenue recognition under ASC 606.</li><li>
Prepare and review journal entries related to revenue, deferred revenue, accruals, reserves, and other revenue-related accounts.</li><li>
Perform and review complex account reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure financial accuracy.</li><li>
Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP, ASC 606, internal controls, and company accounting policies.</li><li>
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes by ensuring timely completion of assigned deliverables.</li><li>
Assist with the development, implementation, and documentation of accounting policies and standard operating procedures.</li><li>
Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase automation, and enhance efficiency across revenue accounting operations.</li><li>
Partner with IT and Finance teams on ERP enhancements, system implementations, and process optimization initiatives.</li><li>
Monitor key revenue accounting metrics and provide analysis to management to support informed business decisions.</li><li>
Assist in preparing schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with SOX/internal control requirements and support remediation efforts when necessary.</li><li>
Supervise, mentor, and develop revenue accounting staff while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and continuous improvement culture.</li><li>
Support special projects and strategic initiatives led by the Director of Revenue Accounting and Financial Operations.</li></ul>
Required Qualifications
Education<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.</li><li>
CPA preferred; CPA eligibility considered.</li></ul>
Experience<ul><li>
6+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.</li><li>
5+ years of experience supporting the complete order-to-cash process, including contract review, billing, revenue recognition, collections, and cash application.</li><li>
Strong experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, accruals, deferred revenue, and financial reporting.</li><li>
Experience working in high-volume accounting environments.</li><li>
Experience with enterprise ERP systems and financial management software.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to improve accounting processes and implement operational efficiencies.</li></ul>
Preferred Experience<ul><li>
Experience applying ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance.</li><li>
Experience with deferred revenue, performance obligations, and contract accounting.</li><li>
Healthcare, pharmaceutical, specialty pharmacy, or patient support services experience preferred.</li><li>
Experience supporting copay assistance programs, Patient Assistance Programs (PAP), or manufacturer-sponsored patient affordability programs is a plus.</li></ul>
Technical Knowledge &amp; Competencies<ul><li>
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and revenue accounting principles.</li><li>
Working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition requirements.</li><li>
Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with exceptional attention to detail.</li><li>
Experience maintaining internal controls and supporting audit requirements.</li><li>
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems.</li><li>
Ability to analyze financial data and communicate findings effectively.</li><li>
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.</li><li>
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>

The Sr. Patient Navigator plays a critical role in ensuring patients have access to life-altering medications by supporting them through complex processes such as insurance verification, prior authorizations, and appeals. This position combines exceptional customer service, relationship management, and expertise in reimbursement practices to provide personalized support and ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations. The role also focuses on educating healthcare providers and patients on access, coverage, and reimbursement support. These roles will be regionally aligned to best support patients.
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Serves as the single point of contact and provides personalized case management for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers (HCPs), including delivery of benefit investigations, prior authorization tracking, and appeal support.</li><li>
Educate patients, HCPs, and stakeholders on access and reimbursement processes, payer policies, and Valeris programs (e.g., patient assistance programs, copay programs).</li><li>
Build and maintain trusted relationships with patients, prescribers, and client stakeholders by delivering accurate, timely, and compassionate support.</li><li>
Coordinate and collaborate with client field teams, following agreed upon business rules and guidelines</li><li>
Communicate benefit coverage options and next steps in the patient journey using clear and patient-friendly language.</li><li>
Leverage electronic tools to navigate and complete benefit investigations, ensuring payer coverage is secured for prescribed treatments.</li><li>
Ensure all activities comply with healthcare laws, regulations, and Valeris standard operating procedures (e.g., HIPAA, insurance guidelines).</li><li>
Identify and escalate adverse events, product complaints, and special situation reports as required by the program.</li><li>
Document all activities in the Valeris system, maintaining detailed and accurate records.</li><li>
Support adherence services, including patient education and coordinating nurse teaching as applicable.</li><li>
Participate in team meetings and ongoing training to stay updated on policies and procedures.</li><li>
Travel WILL BE required per client request a few times per quarter. Travel will be designated to the HQ closest to the selected candidate(s) in either Morrisville, NC or Jeffersonville, IN - therefore desired candidate(s) must live within 30 miles of either HQ.</li><li>

Qualifications:<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in healthcare administration, social science, or a related field.<ul><li>
In lieu of a degree, candidates may qualify with:</li></ul></li></ul><ul><li>
5-10 years of relevant experience in areas such as insurance reimbursement, patient access, direct patient care, or patient education, or</li><li>
Relevant certifications (e.g., PACS, CHES, or CCM) plus at least 5 consecutive years of related experience.</li></ul><ul><li>
Minimum two (2) years of experience in healthcare access delivery or management is strongly preferred.</li><li>
Strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS), and insurance processes.</li><li>
Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment</li><li>
Knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations, including HIPAA and Medicare/Medicaid guidelines.</li><li>
Bilingual / Multilingual is a plus.</li></ul>
