Job Summary

The Sourcing Manager &ndash; Operations and Inventory is responsible for leading and optimizing procurement activities across the organization, with a primary focus on operations and inventory replenishment. This role ensures the timely acquisition of materials and services that meet quality, cost, and compliance standards while aligning with financial planning and operational goals.

The position requires a strategic, analytical, and customer-focused leader who can develop procurement strategies, maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiate enterprise-level contracts, and drive operational efficiencies that support the company's growth and long-term objectives.

Essential Job Functions
<ul>
<li>Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational and financial goals.</li>
<li>Lead procurement activities contained within the inventory replenishment model.</li>
<li>Lead and mentor the procurement team; manage all personnel management activities, from recruitment and promotion to coaching, discipline, and termination, while fostering a compliant and supportive work environment
</li><li>Maintain and strengthen supplier relationships while managing vendor qualification, performance, and compliance.</li>
<li>Coordinate with Accounting to ensure accurate recording of capital expenditures and adherence to budget guidelines.</li>
<li>Analyze spending patterns and supplier performance to identify savings opportunities and process improvements.</li>
<li>Utilize data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI) to monitor KPIs, track budgets, and report on procurement performance.</li>
<li>Collaborate with internal teams to anticipate material and service needs, manage inventory, and optimize the supply chain.</li>
<li>Implement systems and best practices for procurement, vendor management, and contract oversight.</li>
<li>Facilitate auditing processes to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.</li>
<li>Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring cost control and alignment with strategic priorities.</li>
<li>Support process improvements that enhance efficiency, transparency, and cost-effectiveness.</li>
<li>Stay informed about market trends and emerging procurement technologies to enhance operations.</li>
<li>Provide guidance, support, and training to internal stakeholders on procurement procedures and tools.</li>
<li>Partner with leadership on strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned</li>
</ul>
Required Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).</li>
<li>4+ years of experience in procurement, capital project purchasing, or supply chain management, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.</li>
<li>Proficiency with data and analytics tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI/Tableau) and ERP systems such as Dynamics GP, Business Central, or Panatracker GP.</li>
<li>Strong negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship skills.</li>
<li>Proven ability to lead procurement for capital equipment, rentals, and large-scale projects.</li>
<li>Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.</li>
<li>Customer service&ndash;oriented, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.</li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied environments as needed.</li>
<li>Flexibility to work occasional weekends, holidays, and travel as required.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.</li>
<li>Professional procurement certification (e.g., CPSM, CPM).</li>
<li>Experience with e-procurement systems or digital procurement tools.</li>
<li>Knowledge of international procurement practices and regulations.</li>
</ul>
Work Environment

This position is primarily office-based and involves frequent interaction with suppliers, project managers, and internal departments. The role requires regular use of computers and data analysis tools, as well as participation in meetings with cross-functional teams and vendors. Occasional travel may be required to company sites, supplier locations, or project sites to support capital projects, equipment evaluations, or contract discussions.
