Job Title: Purchase ManagerDepartment: Procurement Reporting To: DirectorLocation: Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, Lahore or in overall Punjab Job Summary:The Purchase Manager will be responsible for managing and executing all procurement activities related to Maize Buying with a strong focus on sourcing maize and other Seasonal Grains from reliable vendors. The ideal candidate must possess in-depth knowledge and have established relationships with reputable suppliers, and maintain a comprehensive vendor databank. This role requires strategic planning to ensure timely and cost-effective purchases during the maize season while ensuring quality and consistency across all sites.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies for, particularly maize.</li><li>Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and farmers to ensure continuous and high-quality supply.</li><li>Maintain and update the vendor databank with reputable suppliers across relevant regions.</li><li>Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with vendors to achieve cost efficiency.</li><li>Coordinate with Head of Purchase in Head Office to forecast material requirements and manage timely deliveries.</li><li>Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and seasonal availability to plan procurement in advance.</li><li>Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Prepare and maintain procurement reports, budgets, and purchase records.</li><li>Build strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to support long-term sourcing goals.</li><li>Evaluate vendor performance periodically and take corrective actions where necessary.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a related field with proven experience in acquiring maize (corn).</li><li>Minimum 5&ndash;7 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the feed mill or agriculture sector.</li><li>Strong understanding of agricultural commodities (especially maize) and their market dynamics.</li><li>Proven experience in vendor development and contract management.</li><li>Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office and ERP procurement modules.</li><li>Willingness to travel frequently between Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, and Lahore sites.</li></ul>Key Competencies:<ul><li>Vendor relationship management</li><li>Market analysis and sourcing strategy</li><li>Negotiation and cost control</li><li>Planning and organization</li><li>Decision-making and problem-solving</li><li>Team collaboration and leadership</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: Up to Rs300,000.00 per monthWork Location: In person
