SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
 
Under the direction of the assigned Human Resources Manager, the recruiter will participate in recruitment, interviewing, and participating in the pre-screening process of district employees. This consists of, but is not limited to, the recruitment of ESP, Certified, Administrative, Central Services, Nutritional Services, et.al.
 
The recruiter is expected to meet regularly with hiring managers to determine candidate profiles to prescreen for, schedule interviews, and receive feedback on candidates presented.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates for teaching, administrative, and support staff positions;
 
Collaborate with hiring managers to understand the specific needs and requirements of each position;
 
Proactively source candidates through various channels, including online job boards, social media, career fairs, university partnerships, and community outreach;
 
Build and maintain a pipeline of potential candidates for future vacancies;
 
Leverage social media platforms and other tools to engage passive candidates;
 
Review resumes, conduct initial phone screens, and evaluate candidates' qualifications and cultural fit;
 
Coordinate and conduct interviews, both in-person and virtual, alongside hiring teams;
 
Manage the interview process, including scheduling, feedback collection, and candidate communication;
 
Promote WCSD as an employer of choice within the education sector;
 
Represent WCSD at career fairs, community events, and online forums to attract talent;
 
Develop and distribute recruitment materials that highlight the district's values, culture, and benefits;
 
Work cross-departmentally to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires, including necessary paperwork, orientation sessions, and initial training;
 
Monitor candidate and employee satisfaction and retention, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement;
 
Assist in the development of retention strategies to reduce turnover and increase employee engagement;
 
Ensure all recruitment activities comply with federal, state, and local laws, including equal employment opportunity (EEO) regulations;
 
Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions and recruitment activities;
 
Maintain relationships and collaborate with hiring managers, district administrators, site leaders and central services;
 
Disposition all candidates to ensure a consistent and clean ATS (applicant tracking system);
 
Generate and provide self-reporting on metrics such as, but not limited to, time-to-fill, time-to-hire, and general placement ratios;

Education : High School Diploma or GED required, a bachelor's degree in business administration or human resources preferred;

Licenses/Certificates : None required, SHRM-CP or a PHR preferred.

Under direction of the principal, serves as an instructional leader and assistant administrative officer of a high school. As part of a leadership team, is responsible for site progress toward achieving the school's mission, vision, and core beliefs.. Students: Manages the registration, enrollment, and withdrawal of students, including producing school registration timelines and packets; ensures the maintenance of accurate student records, including transcripts, attendance, discipline records; supervises students during regular school day and after school for school events such as dances, athletic/academic events, assemblies, award ceremonies; manages discipline issues, including positive behavior supports, conflict resolution, detention, in-house/at home suspensions, expulsions; administers procedures for working with special needs students, including those who are homebound; and addresses individual needs of all staff and students, including those of diverse cultures, backgrounds or abilities including the development and monitoring of tutoring programs.

Recordkeeping and Reports: Produces various reports including attendance (absence and tardiness), Count Day, SPP, MTSS, testing, NW Accreditation, and provides evidence if needed for appeal processes; processes equipment ordering and repairs; develops student and athletic handbooks; ensures accurate procedures are followed for progress reports and student grades; develops data reports that track student progress and needed student interventions; and ensures safety plans are current and scheduled drills are performed and recorded for compliance.
 
Site and Facilities: Oversees building usage requests; handles daily and special transportation issues; and approves field trips and off-campus activity consent forms including transportation.
 
Assumes responsibilities of the principal when needed or when delegated by the principal.
 
When assigned to Turning Point: 
Under general direction of the Turning Point Principal, the Turning Point Assistant Principal serves as an instructional leader and administrative officer over a specialized behavior and social skills intervention program which is embedded within MS-HS school classroom curriculum and instruction.
 
Demonstrates comprehensive and practical knowledge of curriculum, assessment and instructional best practice associated with the implementation of behavioral intervention strategies and social skills development.
 
Responsible for compliance of District, state, and federal special education laws and regulations including, but not limited to assessments, eligibility, Individual Educational Programs (IEP); placement in least restrictive environment; notification and inclusion of parents in all decisions; mandated timelines; procuring special education records from out-of-district.
 
Perform the responsibilities of the Local Educational Agency; officiating at IEPs; overseeing participation, procedural safeguards, present levels of academic and functional performance, strengths, concerns, interests and preferences, consideration of special factors, goals and objectives, specially designed instruction, modification, accommodations, and support; related services; extended school year; placement.
 
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
