   Work with a creative team of people who are responsible for ensuring that the behavior of our cars is safe, smooth, and predictable to other road users, which includes gracefully handling many complex situations involving social aspects (merging, negotiating narrow roads, etc), while dealing with noisy, uncertain, and incomplete information.
  </li>
  <li>
   Frame the open-ended real-world problems into well-defined engineering problems; develop tools, algorithms and evaluation mechanisms; scale them to Google-sized data pipelines; and streamline them to run in real-time on the cars.

   BS/MS/PHD in Computer Science, ML, Robotics, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience

   Experience integrating, evaluating or developing ML-based systems is a plus

 The Mapping Operations team is responsible for building, validating, and continuously improving the high-definition maps that power Waymo&rsquo;s autonomous driving system. The team ensures that the vehicle has an accurate, up-to-date understanding of the world by transforming raw sensor data into reliable, production-ready map assets. The team sits at the intersection of autonomous driving, data operations, and quality assurance, partnering closely with Engineering, ML, and Product teams to support safe, scalable deployment across new and existing markets. We are looking for a Senior Program Manager in Hyderabad to lead the Quality &amp; Training functions, partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders &amp; vendor teams, and help improve operational and product quality.

   Act as a subject matter expert on Quality &amp; Training, and maintain the end-to-end Quality Assurance (QA) framework, including performance metrics, and quality standards aligned with key business objectives.
  </li>
  <li>
   Systematically analyze QA data to identify trends, root causes of performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  </li>
  <li>
   Partner with cross-functional teams on critical workflows and help achieve a high bar on Quality
  </li>
  <li>
   Conduct regular training needs assessments in partnership with our vendor teams, to identify knowledge and skill gaps.
  </li>
  <li>
   Lead the design and development of comprehensive training programs, including new hire onboarding. Leverage existing in-house teams to create engaging and effective training content across various formats.
  </li>
  <li>
   Create and manage a robust feedback loop where insights from the quality program directly inform the training curriculum, and the effectiveness of training is measured by subsequent quality performance.

   Bachelor's Degree in technical or business discipline

   Overall 12+ years of work experience managing large-scale and dynamic programs/ projects

   6+ years of experience leading the Quality and/ or Training charters in a scaled operations set up
  </li>
  <li>
   3+ years of people management experience
  </li>
  <li>
   Proven collaboration and communications skills working with globally distributed teams and multiple stakeholders
  </li>
  <li>
   Excellent data analysis skills, ability to derive insights and tell a story with data

As the Mapping Operations team scales, as we bring in a new vendor and as we automate the simpler tasks, the overall focus on Quality will only continue to go up. The Program Manager in this role will be part of the larger Quality &amp; Training function, and help improve Operational Quality by leveraging their Technical expertise. Additionally, Training and Content Management will be used as levers, leveraging them directly to influence Quality of the program.</p>

You will:</b></p>
