We Are Social is looking for a culture-hungry, social-first Associate Creative Director - Copywriter to join our growing team! The perfect person for this role is an internet-obsessed leader who&rsquo;s just as comfortable guiding art directors and writers as they are collaborating with account managers and project managers. You stay on top of trends, know the difference between owned and paid social, and care about making work that works.

WHAT YOU&rsquo;LL DO<ul><li>
Lead day-to-day creative output, partnering with copywriters, art directors, and editors to concept and create everything from high-level campaigns to episodic social series to reactive posts to creator/influencer briefs</li><li>
Delegate tasks effectively, providing constructive feedback and fostering an environment of growth and creative bravery</li><li>
Own, evolve, and protect social voice, ensuring consistency, wit, and cultural relevance across every post, script, caption.</li><li>
Get your hands dirty. You&rsquo;ll be writing and ideating as much as leading (so if you had your heart set on only doing boring managerial tasks &mdash; sorry!)</li><li>
Build and maintain strong client relationships, confidently defending creative directions and translating high-level business needs into actionable tasks for the creative team</li><li>
Seamlessly manage the transition from abstract concept to final craft, ensuring the integrity of the creative vision is maintained across multiple high priority workstreams</li><li>
Spot opportunities to proactively pitch new formats and buzzy ideas to clients</li><li>
Manage and mentor junior team members by leading, inspiring and developing a team of innovative creative thinkers</li></ul>
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE<ul><li>
7+ years experience working in a creative leadership role within an agency or internal brand team</li><li>
You have a proven track record of creating breakthrough social media content</li><li>
You understand how to be authentically native on social platforms via short-form video, motion graphics, trending sounds, etc.</li><li>
You are a strong communicator who treats coworkers and clients with empathy and respect</li><li>
Ability to oversee both visual and narrative components</li><li>
While this role is for an ACD Copywriter, your eye should be as discerning as your wit. You have a strong sense of internet aesthetics and can provide guidance to art directors, designers, and editors</li><li>
On-set production and post-production experience a plus</li><li>
Willingness to get your hands dirty and lead by example with experience guiding teams and leading creative projects</li></ul>

 Confidently defend design choices and creative rationale to both internal teams and external stakeholders
 </li>
 <li>
 Navigate project challenges by finding adaptable, creative solutions that do not compromise aesthetic quality
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate across departments to build relationships and navigate team dynamics, ensuring a cohesive and effective final product

 Manage multiple priorities and assignments by executing quick turnaround times for real time moments, capture trending moments, editing quickly and efficiently to deliver high quality work, on-time and with accuracy

 Requirements For This Role
 
 
 
 <ul>

 3+ years of experience working in an agency, studio, or a comparable environment
 </li>
 <li>
 Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, or a related discipline
 </li>
 <li>
 A strong portfolio showcasing an understanding of short-form content (design &amp; motion) and platform best practices
 </li>
 <li>
 In-depth understanding of design and editing programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, Lightroom, and InDesign
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrable understanding of Instagram and TikTok features, best practices, creator tools (such as CapCut), culture, including popular trends, memes, and sports communities
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong point of view on what it takes to entertain audiences, drive views and build a dedicated following on social
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong sense of color, layout, typography, visual hierarchy, and storytelling
 </li>
 <li>
 Stays informed on current design &amp; social trends while keeping an eye out on upcoming trends &amp; technology
