Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Write, edit, and publish sports content for WFMZ.com and our social media platforms.</li><li>
Monitor live sports events to provide timely updates, scores, and breaking news.</li><li>
Work closely with sports anchors, reporters, and producers to enhance digital storytelling.</li><li>
Select and edit photos, videos, and graphics to accompany articles.</li><li>
Optimize content for SEO and ensure it aligns with WFMZ editorial standards.</li><li>
Engage with the digital audience by responding to comments and creating interactive content.</li><li>
Analyze website and social media metrics to identify opportunities for growth and engagement.</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Strong knowledge and enthusiasm for local, regional, and national sports.</li><li>
Experience in digital journalism or content creation preferred.</li><li>
Proficiency with basic photo/video editing tools.</li><li>
Strong writing and editing skills, including knowledge of AP Style.</li><li>
Familiarity with social media platforms and trends in digital content.</li><li>
Ability to work independently under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.</li><li>
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.</li></ul>
