What you&rsquo;ll do on a typical day:</div><ul><li>
As a member of the Labor and Employment practice group, provide comprehensive support to the business during all stages of the charge, pre-litigation, and litigation process.
</li><li>Support matter intake, including maintaining electronic matter management systems and applications, identifying matter custodians, drafting and issuing legal holds, and assigning counsel
</li><li>Provide end-to-end discovery support, including identification, preservation, collection, review, analysis, production, and coordinating witness interviews</li><li>
Manage and coordinate the company&rsquo;s responses and document productions in connection with subpoenas and personnel file requests, including requesting records from internal stakeholders and drafting production cover letters</li><li>
Conduct and coordinate internal pre-litigation investigations, requiring regular interaction with key business partners, including Human Resources, Risk Management, Safety, and Accounting</li><li>
Manage and update various trackers and databases to ensure timely and accurate reporting of labor and employment matters and provide data analysis and insights</li><li>
Remain abreast of legal and regulatory developments in the Labor and Employment space, e-discovery practices, and legal technology to identify opportunities for risk mitigation, litigation avoidance, and practice improvements<b> </b>including developing materials for use by HR partners</li><li>
Coordinate payment of legal settlements to opposing counsels and plaintiffs</li><li>
Partner with Head of Legal Operations on spend management and fee structure negotiations for labor and employment matters, including auditing legal invoices, maintaining service delivery KPIs, developing and monitoring project plans for select matters</li><li>
Leverage experience and judgement to make informed decisions regarding key aspects of EEOC charges, pre-litigation, and litigation process, including process improvement/implementation and oversight of outside counsel and other legal suppliers</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>

Senior Paralegal (Labor and Employment Specialist) - Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:</b></div><ul><li>
Manage matter intake and distribution to responsible attorneys or business partners in a timely and accurate manner.</li><li>
Support subpoena and personnel record request compliance ensuring timely and accurate responses.</li><li>
Audit legal supplier invoices for adherence to billing guidelines, negotiated terms, and contractual obligations.</li><li>
Restricted party screening and third-party diligence remediation.</li><li>
Support knowledge management initiatives, ensuring data integrity and accessibility across platforms and repositories, including records retention policy.</li><li>
Collaborate with the Head of Legal Operations to design workflows and enhance existing workflows that enhance department efficiency, transparency and accountability.</li><li>
Administer all business/vendor/internal agreements and contracts for India, and partner with US Procurement counsel to support supplier contract negotiation.</li><li>
Assist with labor and employment matters, and compliance investigations.</li><li>
Maintain organized corporate records for XPO India Shared Services, LLP, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and applicable legislation.</li><li>
Support engagement and onboarding of legal suppliers ensuring compliance with company policies.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Education/ Experience:</b></div><div>
At a minimum, you&rsquo;ll need:</div><ul><li>
A Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree</li></ul><ul><li>
2 years of experience in a legal administrative role</li><li>
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Visio</li><li>
Strong analytical and communication skills.</li><li>
Excellent time management and organizational abilities to handle concurrent projects and deadlines</li><li>
The ability to work a hybrid work schedule and be available for extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.</li></ul><div>
It&rsquo;d be great if you also have:</div><ul><li>
A Law Degree</li><li>
5 or more years of experience in legal operations, compliance, contract negotiation, or legal counsel</li><li>
Familiarity with legal software tools such as Legal Tracker, Relativity and OpenText Legal Hold</li><li>
Experience with business intelligence platforms like Power BI and Looker.</li><li>
The ability to maintain confidentiality and collaborate effectively across teams</li><li>
A self-starter attitude with a continuous improvement mindset</li></ul><p>
