Job Overview
We are seeking an 8th Grade Homeroom/Middle School ELA Teacher who is responsible for providing a Christ-centered, academically rich learning environment for students. The teacher will integrate faith into daily instruction and model Christian living in word and deed. This role includes instructional planning, classroom management, assessment of student progress, and collaboration with colleagues and parents to support the mission of the school. This position focuses on Literature and English in grades 6-7-8.
Responsibilities
- Educate students by implementing engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Utilize learning technology to enhance educational experiences and facilitate student learning.
- Provide individualized tutoring and support for students who require additional assistance.
- Conduct assessments, including standardized testing, to evaluate student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintain library services to promote literacy education and encourage reading among students.
- Proofread educational materials for accuracy and clarity before distribution or use in the classroom.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and colleagues regarding student performance and classroom activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; California teching credential preferred.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in curriculum development, literacy education, and tutoring practices.
- Proficient in utilizing learning technology to enhance teaching effectiveness.
- Excellent proofreading skills with attention to detail in educational content.
- Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
