DQTEST LLC is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Animal Caretaker and Cleaning Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Al Buraymi, Oman. This is a full-time position ideal for an individual with a strong passion for animal welfare and a keen eye for cleanliness and order. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily care of our animals and the comprehensive cleaning and maintenance of our facilities, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for both animals and staff.

Responsibilities

 

• Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and monitoring their health and behaviour.
• Conduct thorough and regular cleaning of animal enclosures, common areas, and associated facilities to the highest standards of hygiene.
• Perform general maintenance tasks to ensure the facility is in good repair and operates efficiently.
• Observe animals closely for any signs of illness or distress and report any concerns to the management team promptly.
• Handle animals in a calm, compassionate, and safe manner.
• Manage the disposal of waste in accordance with health and safety protocols.
• Maintain an organised inventory of cleaning supplies, animal feed, and other essential equipment.
• Adhere strictly to all company policies and animal welfare standards.

Qualifications

 

• Proven experience in an animal care or a professional cleaning/maintenance role is highly desirable.
• A genuine passion for working with animals and a commitment to their welfare.
• Excellent attention to detail, particularly in relation to cleanliness and animal health.
• Physically capable of performing manual labour, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable, punctual, and a trustworthy team player.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• A basic understanding of health and safety procedures in a working environment.
