KPMG is seeking a Data Privacy & Protection Specialist to play a pivotal role in strengthening data governance frameworks and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.


Your Role

As a trusted advisor, you will:

  • Lead data privacy compliance initiatives to meet evolving regulatory requirements
  • Conduct privacy audits and assessments to identify gaps and enhance control environments
  • Guide and review Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for high-risk processing activities
  • Act as a key liaison with regulators and data protection authorities , managing communications and inquiries
  • Build robust privacy frameworks , policies, and governance structures
  • Provide insights on emerging risks , enabling proactive and sustainable compliance


What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in IT audit, data compliance, cybersecurity, or information security
  • Strong understanding of data privacy regulations and frameworks
  • Proven ability to work across complex, multi-stakeholder environments
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and regulators


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT, Data Science, Computer Science/Engineering, Cyber/Information Security, or equivalent


Certifications (one or more required)

  • Certified Information Privacy Professional ( CIPP )
  • Certified Information Privacy Manager ( CIPM )
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional ( CISSP )
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor ( CISA )
