Barista and Shift Supervisor

Looking for a part-time (around 13 hours a week) Barista / Assistant Manager for Ludlow Charlingtons Coffee Shop, an independent coffee shop in Lincoln Park, Chicago. This position has a great opportunity for tips, as you will be the only employee on shift at times. Must have experience as a Barista and be comfortable handling high volume shifts. Ideally looking for flexible availability to work mornings and afternoons on both weekdays and weekends.

Duties include:

- Making various espresso drinks, matcha, chai, batch brew coffee

- Opening and closing tasks

- Dialing in grinder for espresso

- Helping with cleaning duties (coffee equipment, countertops, cleaning glassware, cleaning urns, sweeping / mopping and taking trash bags out at the end of shifts, etc...)

- Pay is $15/hr + tips (our baristas typically make mid $20's/hr after tips)

- Part time, approximately 13 hours a week

**Must either have certification from the City of Chicago as a Food Service Manager OR be willing to take the necessary ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification course and get certified by the City of Chicago prior to beginning (we offer reimbursement for the course and certification fees)
