Bookkeeper Construction Industry

Job Summary

Novara Construction is a rapidly growing construction company serving South Florida. We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper with advanced QuickBooks experience and a strong background in construction accounting.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and understands construction accounting, job costing, project profitability, vendor management, and full-cycle bookkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping
• Accounts Payable (A/P) & Accounts Receivable (A/R)
• Process vendor and subcontractor payments
• Bank and credit card reconciliations
• Maintain accurate financial records
• Prepare monthly financial reports
• Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger
• Track project costs and profitability
• Assist with job costing and project financial reporting
• Work closely with project managers and the production department
• Maintain organized accounting records and documentation

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience
• Full proficiency in QuickBooks (Required)
• Ability to manage the company’s books independently using QuickBooks
• Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Strong understanding of construction job costing and project profitability
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Professional communication skills
• Reliable and dependable

Preferred Qualifications

• Construction industry experience
• Remote Online Notary (RON) certification is a strong advantage
• Spanish is a plus
