Job Profile

Works as part of the structured cabling team to plan, install, terminate and test a wide range of cable types within various environments (customer premises). Van and Fuel Card provided for Business Travel.

Key Tasks/Responsibilities

• Assists the company in the delivery of the structured cabling service.
• Carries out installation, termination and testing of structured cabling within commercial, industrial, marine and offshore environments.
• Tests and commissions structured cabling installations.
• Keeps concise and accurate records after each installation/maintenance process.
• Assists in the maintenance and updating of equipment and resources.
• Performs all duties in a positive and professional manner and assists in the promotion of a productive team environment.
• Responds in a positive and effective manner, responding immediately to fault calls and service requests.
• Maintains personal productivity and quality standards that enable the company to continue to provide an excellent service to our clients.

Qualifications/Skills

• Extensive field cabling experience with a proven ability in the installation, termination and testing of Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A structured cabling, telephone cabling and fibre optic cabling.
• Preferable understanding of fibre optic cabling installation.
• Knowledge of HSE risk assessments and method statements.
• Ability to work without immediate supervision in the most efficient and economical manner.
• Strong hand skills and the ability to use a wide range of tools.
• A reasonable level of physical fitness, as the work can involve stretching, bending, kneeling and long periods of standing.
• Communication skills to discuss problems with customers, explain work method to others.
• Familiar with Health and Safety requirements.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £25,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
