Financial Aid Advisor / Officer - Enjoy a 3-Day Weekend!

The Opportunity

Are you a detail-oriented financial aid professional looking for a better work-life balance? Our Las Vegas campus is seeking an experienced Financial Aid expert to join our team. We operate on a 4-day work week (Mon–Thu), giving you every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off.

Whether you are a seasoned Officer with deep compliance and disbursement experience or a motivated Advisor with strong student-facing skills, we want to hear from you. The final job title and compensation will be determined based on your depth of federal aid experience.

What You'll Do

Financial Aid Officer (Advanced Technical Focus)

  • Process and reconcile disbursements in compliance with federal, state, and institutional policy - this is a core function of this role
  • Package and award financial aid (Pell Grants, Direct Loans, etc.) and manage the full award lifecycle
  • Own compliance: conduct file verifications and audits to ensure 100% accuracy in student records
  • Operate federal systems including COD and NSLDS

Financial Aid Advisor (Student-Facing Focus)

  • Guide students through the FAFSA process, explain award letters, and assist with document collection
  • Process and reconcile disbursements
  • Manage student caseloads from enrollment through graduation
  • Operate federal systems including COD and NSLDS

Both roles share responsibility for maintaining audit-ready files and delivering an exceptional student experience.

Who You Are

The Technical Pro (Officer Level): You have 4+ years of direct Financial Aid experience. You have personally processed disbursements, understand Title IV compliance inside and out, and can confidently manage audits and federal reporting. Disbursement experience is non-negotiable at this level.

The Motivated Professional (Advisor Level): You have at least 2 years of Financial Aid office experience. You are comfortable with student-facing counseling and the FAFSA process, and you are ready to grow into the technical back-end of aid administration.

Requirements (Both Levels)

  • Previous Financial Aid office experience is mandatory
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and obsession with detail
  • Must pass a background check and not be in default on a federal student loan
  • Knowledge of VA certification and GI Bill benefits is a significant plus
