Job Summary

Softini Solutions is looking for a passionate and curious UI/UX Design Intern to join our product design team. This role is perfect for aspiring digital product designers, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) students, or graphic designers looking to transition into user-centered digital design. You will work closely with senior designers, product managers, and software engineers to learn how real-world mobile apps and web platforms are researched, wireframed, and designed from scratch.

Key Responsibilities

• Wireframing & Prototyping: Assist in creating low-fidelity sketches and high-fidelity interactive wireframes for web applications and mobile apps (iOS & Android).
• UI/UX Component Design: Help build and maintain our component libraries and design systems (buttons, forms, navigation bars, and typography scales).
• User Research & Mapping: Support senior designers in conducting basic user research, analyzing competitor products, and mapping out user personas and user journeys.
• Developer Hand-off Collaboration: Assist in prepping final design files, exporting SVG assets/icons, and communicating layout specifications cleanly to the development team.
• Heuristic Evaluation: Review existing products and features to identify usability issues, broken flows, or visual inconsistencies, suggesting clean design solutions.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Fine Arts, or a related field Matric & Intermediate Students also consider.
• Primary Tool Mastery: Good foundational command of Figma (knowledge of auto-layout, components, and basic prototyping is highly preferred).
• Design Literacy: A basic understanding of user-centered design principles, layout grids, visual hierarchy, typography, and color theory.
• Portfolio: A link to a design portfolio (Behance, Dribbble, Notion, Figma link, or PDF case study) showing web/mobile interface concepts, redesign ideas, or wireframes is required.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset open to constructive critique.
