Job Overview
Ready Contractors, a respected construction firm with a history of delivering quality workmanship since 1969, is seeking a dedicated and professional Healthcare Worker to join our team. This Full-Time role is based at our project site in Houston, Texas, United States. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of our on-site workforce, ensuring a safe and productive environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a healthcare professional to apply their skills in a dynamic, industrial setting. The offered salary for this position is between $87,873 and $119,348 USD per annum, commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
• Provide immediate first aid and emergency medical response to on-site incidents and injuries.
• Conduct routine health screenings and wellness checks for employees.
• Assist in the implementation and enforcement of the company's health and safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain and manage all medical supplies and first aid equipment, ensuring they are stocked and in good working order.
• Keep meticulous and confidential records of all employee injuries, treatments, and health-related matters.
• Liaise effectively with external medical services and emergency response teams when necessary.
• Act as a key resource for health and safety information, promoting a proactive culture of well-being among all staff.
• Support health-related risk assessments and contribute to the development of occupational health programmes.
Qualifications
• A recognised certification or qualification in a relevant healthcare field (e.g., Paramedic, EMT, Occupational Health Nurse, or equivalent).
• Proven experience providing medical care, preferably within an industrial, construction, or similar fast-paced environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of first aid, CPR, and emergency medical protocols.
• A strong understanding of relevant health and safety regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse workforce.
• The ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive in high-pressure situations.
• Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail, particularly in record-keeping.
• A proactive and compassionate approach to employee health and welfare.
