Overview
CORE MD, LLC is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and professional Housekeeping Attendant to support daily operations at a hotel serving individuals experiencing homelessness. This role is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary guest rooms, common areas, bathrooms, corridors, and laundry operations across the property. The ideal candidate takes pride in cleanliness, works efficiently, follows safety procedures, and treats guests and coworkers with respect.
Responsibilities
- Vacuum, sweep, wet mop, and dust guest rooms, corridors, and common areas.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and restocking toiletries.
- Clean kitchens and room areas, including counters, appliances, and dishes where applicable.
- Make beds, straighten linens, fluff pillows, and organize rooms.
- Complete daily room cleaning, trash pickup, linen collection, and corridor cleaning.
- Clean public areas daily, including the lobby, reception area, dining areas, restrooms, and hallways.
- Empty trash bins and replace liners throughout guest rooms and common areas.
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, hang, store, and distribute linens, towels, sheets, and other laundry items.
- Inspect cleaned laundry for stains or damage before returning items to circulation.
- Pre-treat stains and operate washers and dryers using proper detergents, temperatures, and wash cycles.
- Track housekeeping and laundry supplies and report shortages for reorder.
- Complete weekly carpet shampoo cleaning for each floor.
- Support bed bug treatment protocols and related room preparation as needed.
- Use cleaning products, laundry chemicals, and equipment safely and in accordance with site procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness standards while following infection control, safety, and property procedures.
- Communicate maintenance issues, damaged items, safety hazards, or supply needs to supervisors promptly.
NECESSARY SKILLS:
- Experience in hotels, shelters, supportive housing, residential programs, or healthcare housekeeping.
- Knowledge of infection prevention, sanitation standards, and safe chemical handling
- Experience with laundry operations and linen handling
- Ability to work respectfully with diverse and high-needs populations
- Familiarity with intake procedures, case management practices, medication administration (if applicable), and data collection methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and administer first aid or CPR when necessary.
- Sensitivity to working with culturally diverse communities and underserved populations while maintaining resident confidentiality at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- At least 1 year of housekeeping, janitorial, hotel, laundry, custodial, or environmental services experience preferred
- Ability to follow cleaning schedules, safety procedures, and supervisor direction
Pay: $17.17 per hour
