Licensed Esthetician

Mikura is seeking an experienced licensed esthetician to join our team on a part-time basis to help take on client overflow. We’re a Japanese and Korean-inspired skincare studio known for our gentle, results-driven approach and we’re looking for someone who genuinely loves connecting with people and creating a calming, professional experience for every client.

This position is ideal for someone who:

• Enjoys working independently and confidently
• Is a great communicator, warm, and grounded
• Is passionate about skin health and providing real results
• Understands the importance of client trust and studio integrity

Details:

• Location: Mikura Skincare, Lawrence, KS
• Schedule: Flexible part-time; working days when Naomi (founder/lead esthetician) is not in
• Trial period: 3 months (with paid training included)
• Potential: If it’s a good fit, we’ll offer a permanent role
• Compensation: Commission only (we do not accept tips at our spa)

Requirements:

• Must have at least 2+ years of hands-on experience working in a spa or medspa setting
• Valid esthetics license in the state of Kansas
• Proof of current liability insurance
• Reliable, professional, and punctual
• Willingness to learn our unique approach and protocols (training provided)

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience.
• Perform a variety of facial treatments including peels, facial massage, and extractions
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in the treatment areas.
• Manage appointment schedules using Vagaro
• Promote and sell retail products to enhance client satisfaction and boost sales.

Important to note:
We are offering in-depth training and mentorship, and we're looking for someone who wants to grow within our business—not someone using this role as a stepping stone to start their own studio. To protect our process and clients, we will ask for a non-compete agreement.
