Job Responsibilities – Mechanical Engineer
- Prepare, read, and interpret mechanical drawings, layouts, and technical specifications
- Develop, review, and modify shop drawings and as-built drawings
- Supervise mechanical installation, fabrication, and site activities to ensure work is executed as per approved drawings
- Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, suppliers, and vendors for smooth project execution
- Perform quantity take-offs, prepare BOQs, and cost estimations
- Handle material requisitions, purchasing coordination, and vendor evaluation
- Ensure timely procurement of materials as per project requirements and specifications
- Inspect incoming materials and ensure quality compliance with approved standards
- Implement and maintain quality assurance.
- Conduct site inspections, identify defects, and ensure corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality procedures, and project timelines
- Prepare progress reports and assist in project planning and scheduling
- Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of solid experience in handling complex structural steel fabrication works in a workshop environment.
