Mechanical Engineer

Job Responsibilities – Mechanical Engineer

• Prepare, read, and interpret mechanical drawings, layouts, and technical specifications
• Develop, review, and modify shop drawings and as-built drawings
• Supervise mechanical installation, fabrication, and site activities to ensure work is executed as per approved drawings
• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, suppliers, and vendors for smooth project execution
• Perform quantity take-offs, prepare BOQs, and cost estimations
• Handle material requisitions, purchasing coordination, and vendor evaluation
• Ensure timely procurement of materials as per project requirements and specifications
• Inspect incoming materials and ensure quality compliance with approved standards
• Implement and maintain quality assurance.
• Conduct site inspections, identify defects, and ensure corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality procedures, and project timelines
• Prepare progress reports and assist in project planning and scheduling
• Qualifications:
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of solid experience in handling complex structural steel fabrication works in a workshop environment.
