The Military and Disability Client Services Coordinator provides compassionate, professional support to military service members, veterans, military families, and individuals with disabilities. This role helps clients access available programs, benefits, community resources, and support services while ensuring their needs are addressed with respect, confidentiality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for military-affiliated clients and individuals with disabilities.
- Assess client needs and connect them with appropriate programs, benefits, and community resources.
- Assist clients with completing applications, forms, and required documentation.
- Coordinate referrals to healthcare, employment, education, housing, financial assistance, and other support services.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records and case documentation.
- Monitor client progress and provide follow-up support to ensure services are effective.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external organizations to coordinate care and resources.
- Educate clients about available benefits, accommodations, and support programs.
- Advocate for clients while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Prepare reports and maintain records of client services and program outcomes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with veterans, military families, individuals with disabilities, or in human services is preferred.
- Knowledge of community resources and government assistance programs is an asset.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management or client database systems.
