Job Purpose

• You’ll be responsible for supporting the continuous running of equipment and machinery, performing routine maintenance, and organising and carrying out repairs. This hands-on role plays a vital part in ensuring our production runs efficiently, safely, and reliably.
• You’ll also support improvements in our plant operations, reduce the incidence of breakdowns, and help implement maintenance strategies to drive long-term reliability.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Carry out routine, scheduled maintenance and respond to equipment faults
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical breakdowns and faults
• Support and manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
• Fit new parts and ensure equipment is fully functional
• Maintain and control stores of maintenance tools and equipment
• Deal with emergency breakdowns and repairs
• Operate and maintain specialist equipment, including PLC-controlled systems
• Write and implement maintenance strategies and procedures

Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in a similar engineering role within a manufacturing or food production environment is preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay: £39,780.00-£53,820.00 per year
