Sonshine Therapy thriving, large, pediatric medical practice located in heart of the medical district in Savannah, GA and a second location in Pooler, GA!

We provide Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapy. We work with children ranging in ages from birth to 21. We pride ourselves on supporting, encouraging, and coming along side families where they are, as well as being involved in the community, providing parent education, and physician education. We specialize in feeding and therapy for infants and toddlers.

Job Description: Ready to lead a premier pediatric outpatient speech department and reignite your passion? Sonshine Therapy is seeking a visionary Director to elevate our Occupational Therapy department. This is a rare, high-impact opportunity for an experienced OT to shape the future of our clinic's success and maintain our reputation as the area's premier pediatric provider.

With a reduced clinical caseload you will seamlessly balance your clinical expertise with strategic leadership of a dedicated, collaborative team. Our mission is purpose-driven: caring for the whole family through encouragement, education, and community resources. We specialize in complex pediatric cases—including Autism Spectrum Disorders, Feeding Disorders, and infants—and while we work hard, we ensure the FUN factor is central to our warm, happy, and family-centered culture.

  • Clinical Excellence: Drive professional growth through dedicated mentorship, providing ongoing clinical supervision for students and young clinicians.
  • Standards & Outcomes: Maintain our commitment to top-tier care by leading quality assurance measures, conducting regular chart audits, and ensuring all treatment plans meet the highest evidence-based standards. Speaking with the OneSource Medicaid CMO Authorization company to represent our therapists and patients.
  • Integrated Care Pathways: Collaborate directly with the CEO and ST/PT leads to develop advanced, integrated care pathways for our complex caseloads.
  • Empowering Families: Lead critical family advocacy and education initiatives to maximize caregiver engagement and functional outcomes at home.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Georgia State OT License
  • 5+ years of pediatric experience; Leadership Expereince preferred

Important Notes:

If you are currently a licensed OT in another state, it may take 1-3 months to get a Georgia license.

1. Receiving a Georgia License (1-3 months)

2. After accepting a job position with Sonshine we can begin the insurance credentialing process. Credentialing can take as long as 4 months to complete. It is a required process for all medical facilities. If any employer offers to employee you more quickly they are not completing the required insurance credentialing process.

As a licensed professional it is very important to plan 4 months ahead for an in state change and 6 months in advance for an out of state change. If you begin work with us sooner, it will take 90 days to get to a full schedule as we add patients as each insurance is approved.
