Job Overview

GCGC BIZ LLC, a full-service design-build and construction company specialising in high-quality residential and commercial projects, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join our finance team. This is a Full-Time position based in United, Louisiana. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our payroll processes are managed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations. We are looking for a professional with a strong understanding of payroll procedures and a commitment to precision. The offered salary for this role is between $30,000 - $45,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

* Process payroll for all employees in an accurate and timely manner.
* Collect, verify, and input timesheet information and other payroll data.
* Calculate wages, overtime payments, deductions, and bonuses.
* Address and resolve payroll-related queries from employees with professionalism and discretion.
* Prepare and submit regular payroll reports for management review.
* Ensure compliance with all US federal, state, and local payroll and tax regulations.
* Maintain organised and confidential payroll records and employee files.
* Assist with the preparation of year-end reports and W-2 forms.
* Liaise with the Human Resources department to ensure employee data is accurate and up-to-date.

Qualifications

* Proven experience working as a Payroll Assistant, Payroll Clerk, or in a similar administrative role.
* A strong understanding of fundamental payroll principles and procedures.
* Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with payroll software.
* Exceptional numerical skills and a high level of attention to detail.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
* The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience within the construction industry is desirable but not essential.
