Press Setter / Operator - Full Time

We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable press/setter operator to join our manufacturing team.

The successful candidate will have experience setting and operating press machinery, with AMADA press experience highly preferred. You will be responsible for producing quality components accurately and efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press machinery, including fitting tooling and adjusting machine settings.
• Set and align tooling correctly to ensure accurate production.
• Operate presses safely and efficiently in line with production requirements.
• Read and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Carry out dimensional checks and quality inspections throughout production.
• Use hand tools and measuring equipment accurately.
• Identify and resolve basic machine and tooling issues.
• Carry out routine machine checks and minor maintenance when required.
• Assist with assembly and finishing of fabricated components.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Keep the work area clean, organised, and safe.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Press Setter / Operator is essential.
• Experience within sheet metal, fabrication, or general manufacturing.
• AMADA press experience is strongly preferred.
• Good knowledge of press machinery and tooling.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious.

Pay: £14.00-£17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
