Program Coordinator – Elementary After-School Program – Fall 2026 (Spanish/English Preferred)

Part-Time $24.00 per Hour

Start Date - Mid August

Bay Area Tutoring Association (BATA) is seeking a dedicated and organized Program Coordinator to support our after-school literacy tutoring program serving elementary school students. This leadership role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education, student success, and supporting tutors in a school-based environment.

Because many of our students and families are bilingual, Spanish-English bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Position Details

  • Start Date: Mid-August 2026
  • Hours: 20 hours per week
  • Schedule: After-school program hours
  • Sites: One Program Coordinator will oversee both school locations:

Meadow Homes Elementary School, 1371 Detroit Ave, Concord, CA 94520

Cambridge Elementary School, 1135 Lacey Ln, Concord, CA 94520

Responsibilities

  • Supervise tutors and support daily program operations
  • Ensure high-quality small-group literacy instruction
  • Support student engagement and positive behavior management
  • Communicate with school staff, families, and BATA leadership
  • Track attendance and maintain program documentation
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development trainings
  • Help foster a positive, supportive learning environment for students and tutors

Qualifications Strongly Preferred

  • Spanish-English bilingual ability
  • Experience working in schools, tutoring programs, or youth development programs
  • Leadership, supervisory, or program coordination experience

Required

  • Reliable, professional, and dependable
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to supervise, coach, and support staff
  • Commitment to creating positive outcomes for students
