Python/Django Developer

We are looking for a highly motivated and innovative Software Engineer with strong expertise in Python and Django and a passion for AI-assisted software development. The ideal candidate will have experience building scalable web applications, developing RESTful APIs, and leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI-powered development tools to accelerate software delivery.

Job responsibilities

• Develop, test, maintain, and optimize web applications using Python, Django, and modern software engineering practices.
• Build, consume, and maintain RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework (DRF).
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) to accelerate software development, improve productivity, and automate engineering workflows.
• Design, refine, and optimize prompts to generate accurate, secure, and production-ready code.
• Build and manage AI-driven workflows for coding, testing, debugging, prototyping, and automation.
• Rapidly translate business requirements into scalable, high-quality software solutions and working prototypes.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing components with robust server-side logic.
• Design, optimize, and maintain efficient database schemas, queries, and application performance.
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code following coding standards and best practices.
• Review, validate, test, and optimize both manually written and AI-generated code to ensure quality, security, scalability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues while ensuring system stability and performance.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, AI advancements, and industry best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in Python with at least 1 year of hands-on experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the Django Framework and Django REST Framework (DRF).
• Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong programming and software engineering fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, or similar AI-powered development tools.
• Good understanding of prompt engineering and AI-assisted software development workflows.
• Experience reviewing, debugging, testing, validating, and optimizing both manually written and AI-generated code.
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, including database design and query optimization.
• Basic knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience working in Linux-based development environments.
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile software development methodologies.
• Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional and agile teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of Docker and containerized application deployment.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to modern AI workflow automation and agent-based development frameworks.
• Understanding of software security, scalability, and performance optimization best practices.
