About the role
The Role
- Milk approximately 200 cows through a 16:32 parlour equipped with ADF, maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare and milk hygiene.
- Milking times are approximately 5:30–9:00am and 4:00–7:00pm.
- Monitor the health and welfare of the herd, identifying and picking out cows requiring further attention.
- Use our heat detection system to identify bulling cows and select cows for AI
- Identify and manage mastitis cases, including the responsible use of antibiotics and veterinary medicines.

- Be a positive and easy-going person, with a high attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Share our passion and care for cows
- Have the confidence to ask for support
- Reliable and punctual
- Work to a high standard whilst maintaining our cleanliness levels
- Be confident milking by yourself
- Experience preferred, however we are willing to train the right person with a commitment to learn.
- UK Driving license
The Package
- Self-employed, up to 6 milkings per week (flexibility on number of milkings, to be discussed and agreed)
- Required to be able to help at least one weekend a month for a minimum of 2 milkings.
