Sales Representative (Commercial Gym Equipment)

Build A Gym is one of the fastest growing gym equipment companies in Texas. We grew 76% last year and we're on pace to do it again. We sell and install commercial strength and cardio equipment out of our Georgetown warehouse, including BUILT Strength, our own commercial equipment line that gyms across the country are buying. About two thirds of our business is commercial: gym owners, training facilities, schools, apartments, hotels, and corporate fitness centers. They buy big, they come back, and there are thousands more of them we haven't called yet.

We're hiring a Sales Representative to go get them.

What you'll do

  • Cold call and prospect gyms, fitness studios, schools, multifamily properties, hotels, and corporate wellness programs. You'll have a territory, a call list, and a warehouse full of inventory to sell from.
  • Generate your own leads on Facebook Marketplace. You'll create and manage your own equipment listings, shooting your own photos and video on the warehouse floor. Marketplace is a primary lead source for this role, and the leads you create yourself earn a higher commission rate. Our in-house creative team is there when you need polished assets.
  • Run remote viewings. When a buyer wants to see a piece before purchasing, you'll schedule a live video walkthrough, show the equipment, answer questions, and close the deal.
  • Work inbound leads routed to you from our marketing engine (abandoned carts, website and email inquiries), alongside the leads you generate yourself.
  • Keep a clean pipeline. Every call, lead, deal, and commission is logged in our CRM.

What you'll earn

  • Base salary of $40,000 to $48,000 per year.
  • Uncapped, tiered commission on gross profit. Your rate climbs as your monthly sales climb, up to 7%, and hitting a higher tier lifts your rate on everything you sold that month.
  • Leads you generate yourself (including Facebook Marketplace) pay a premium over leads handed to you, so hunting pays.
  • On-target earnings of $60,000 to $80,000 in year one, with room above that for strong performers.
  • Commissions paid monthly on collected funds.

We pay on profit rather than revenue, which means there's no cap on you and no incentive to give away margin. We'll teach you how to sell value.

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of sales experience; outbound or cold-calling experience strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable on the phone and on camera (you'll film walkthroughs and meet buyers over video).
  • Self-motivated and organized enough to manage your own pipeline and Marketplace listings without being chased.
  • Able to work from our Georgetown, TX warehouse 2 to 3 days per week.
  • Nice to have: experience selling on Facebook Marketplace, a background in fitness or equipment sales.
