We are seeking a Cloud Network Engineer/SRE to join the Platform Engineering Domain in the Connectivity Team.

In dieser Rolle verantwortest du den stabilen und sicheren Betrieb einer souver&auml;nen Google-Cloud-Plattform in einem hochregulierten Umfeld. Als Teil eines Site Reliability Engineering Teams stellst du die Verf&uuml;gbarkeit, Skalierbarkeit und Performance gesch&auml;ftskritischer Cloud-Services sicher und arbeitest eng mit internationalen Experten zusammen. Dabei erh&auml;ltst du die M&ouml;glichkeit, tief in die Technologien eines Hyperscalers einzutauchen und an hochverf&uuml;gbaren Cloud-Infrastrukturen mit h&ouml;chsten Sicherheitsanforderungen mitzuwirken.

&Uuml;<ul><li>berwachung und Sicherstellung von Verf&uuml;gbarkeit, Skalierbarkeit, Latenz und Effizienz der Cloud-Services anhand definierter SLI/SLOs
</li>A<li>nalyse, Bearbeitung und nachhaltige Behebung von Incidents in produktiven Cloud-Umgebungen
</li>T<li>eilnahme an einem internationalen Bereitschaftsmodell zur Sicherstellung eines 24/7-Betriebs
</li>Z<li>usammenarbeit mit internationalen Cloud- und Plattformexperten zur Fehleranalyse und Probleml&ouml;sung
</li>A<li>utomatisierung operativer Prozesse und kontinuierliche Optimierung von Betriebsabl&auml;ufen

Your mission as Field CTO: 
 
Your Role: Bridging Customer Success and Technical Authority 
The Field CTO is the lead technical voice in Germany, embodying both the Customer Engineering Manager and Technical Design Authority roles. You will be critical in translating strategic customer requirements into secure, high-assurance cloud solutions, bridging the gap between customer needs and Trusted Cloud capabilities.<ul><li> 
Technical Design Authority:<ul><li>
Serve as the primary technical design authority for the German market, overseeing the pre-sales phase and ensuring technical responses to customer RFPs are robust and compliant.</li><li>
Drive high-level technical designs for large and strategic accounts, ensuring alignment with the highest security standards (SecNumCloud and BSI C5/C3A).</li></ul></li><li> 
Customer Engineering Leadership:<ul><li>
Act as the lead for all customer-facing technical engagements (a hands-on, field role) with a direct impact on overall customer experience.</li><li>
Manage and lead the team of 5-10 Customer Engineers at target, driving technical pre-sales strategy and execution</li></ul></li><li> 
Technical Support Leadership:<ul><li>
Act as the lead for the customer technical support team</li><li>
Manage a team of technical support engineers tackling on a daily basis customers technical requests</li></ul></li><li> 
Customer Journey Leadership:<ul><li>
Act as the lead for the customer journey onboarding, billing and support tooling</li><li>
Manage a team of SRE Engineers in charge of billing operations and FinOps</li></ul></li><li> 
Strategic Reporting: Directly report to both the German Country Manager and the S3NS Customer Engineering &amp; Services Director in France</li></ul>
We are looking forward to:<ul><li>
Technical leadership: 10+ years of senior-level experience in driving technical strategy and design for large enterprise accounts.</li><li>
Cloud expertise: Senior, hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (IaaS, PaaS, AI).</li><li>
Technical Account Management: experience driving cloud deals for large accounts and to oversee contract execution in the run phase</li><li>
Security &amp; compliance: Deep understanding of the high-assurance cloud landscape and security standards (e.g., ANSSI SecNumCloud and/or BSI C5/C3A, NIS).</li><li>
Customer engagement: Proven pre-sales experience in a Customer Engineering or equivalent client-facing technical role.</li><li>
Experience managing technical teams (e.g., Customer Engineers).</li></ul>
