Overview

We're looking to hire for our Data side of our AI team at Speechify. This role is responsible for all aspects of data collection to support our model training operations. We are able to build high-quality datasets at petabyte-scale and low cost through a tight integration of infrastructure, engineering, and research work. What You'll Do

<li>Be scrappy to find new sources of audio data and bring it into our ingestion pipeline</li>
<li>Operate and extend the cloud infrastructure for our ingestion pipeline, currently running on GCP and managed with Terraform.</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with our Scientists to shift the cost/throughput/quality frontier, delivering richer data at bigger scale and lower cost to power our next-generation models.</li>

An Ideal Candidate Should Have

<ul><li>Y Bachelor&rsquo;s or Master&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a comparable qualification.</li>
<li>Experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps, or MLOps within complex IT environments.</li>
<li>Strong expertise in operating production Kubernetes platforms across AWS and on-premises infrastructures.</li>
<li>Tech Stack: Kubernetes, AWS, Linux, GitOps, CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible, Helm, ArgoCD and/or Flux, Grafana, Prometheus, Infrastructure as Code; experience with MLOps platforms is advantageous.</li>
<li>Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, networking, and platform automation.</li>
<li>Knowledge of the German BSI IT-Grundschutz framework is considered an advantage.</li>
<li>Professional proficiency in English and German (C1 or higher).</li>

What you'll do</h4><ul><li>
5+ years of relevant work experience.</li><li>
Own the systems managing, configuring, updating and monitoring our robot fleet.</li><li>
Help design, implement and validate the next generation of our fleet update and job execution platform.</li><li>
Develop backend services and internal tools for operational workflows, job scheduling, configuration management, and fleet maintenance.</li><li>
Work on core backend topics such as APIs, service-to-service communication, data modeling, security, reliability, and observability.</li><li>
Work on infrastructure topics such as NATS, GCP, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and observability.</li><li>
Collaborate closely with robotics and operations teams to turn real-world field &amp; customer requirements into robust technical solutions.</li></ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader"> 
What you bring</h4><ul><li>
Strong backend, systems, or DevOps engineering experience.</li><li>

Experience with distributed systems, Linux-based environments, networking, containers, or infrastructure automation.</li><li>
