This role combines fire suppression, emergency medical care, rescue operations, and community risk reduction to protect life, property, and the environment.</p><p><b>Minimum Qualifications:</b></p><p>&middot; 18 years of age or older</p><p>&middot; Nationally Registered or Virginia EMT, Advanced or Paramedic certification</p><p>&middot; ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800</p><p>&middot; An approved Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) Level 2 and/or Level 3</p><p>&middot; Valid Virginia Driver&rsquo;s License</p><p>&middot; ACLS and PALS preferred for Paramedic applicants</p><p>&middot; Virginia Department of Fire Programs Firefighter I, Firefighter II and Haz-Mat Operations (<i>preferred but not required</i>)</p><p><b>Special note</b><b>: Special consideration is given to EMS providers without firefighter certifications.
