Job Summary/Description:

WVUE, FOX 8, is looking for a creative, aggressive, and visual editor/photojournalist to join our award-winning news team. The candidate must be able to work in a highly functioning, experienced, talented newsroom. Must have experience with non-linear equipment and have the ability to function in a deadline environment. The candidate will also be required to contribute content to digital platforms. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills needed. If you have an eye for powerful pictures and an ear for great sound, this is the job for you.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Hiring Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000.

<div>KMGH, The E.W. Scripps ABC affiliate in Denver, Colorado is searching for a Chief Photographer who will be a working supervisor and will capture visual content and edit for multiple platforms.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
<ul><li>Shoot, capture and edit visual content for multiple platforms.
</li><li>Post content to station's Web sites.
</li><li>Work with producers and multi-media journalists to create news stories.
</li><li>Perform news operations duties as needed.
</li><li>Responsible for operating various news gathering equipment, including but not limited to live. truck, video camera, and video editing equipment.
</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.
</li></ul>WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
<ul><li>BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience
</li><li>Generally, 5+ years of experience in related field preferred
</li><li>Prior supervisory experience a plus
</li></ul>WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
<ul><li>Proficiency with lighting and computer based editing, including Final Cut Pro
</li><li>Proficiency with live microwave truck operation
</li><li>Knowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel laws
</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
</li><li>Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the company required insurance limits.

Pursuant to state and local salary transparency laws, the salary range posted is specific to candidates who will perform this work in Colorado.
