<p><b>A day in the life:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Study building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installations</li>
<li>Locate and mark position of pipe and pipe connections and passage holes for pipes in walls and floors using necessary tools (i.e., ruler, spirit level, and plumb bob)</li>
<li>Cut and thread pipe, using necessary tools (i.e., pipe cutters, port-a-band saw, reciprocating saw, torch, pipe-threading machine)</li>
<li>Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of metals (I.e., iron, steel, brass, copper, glass, vitrified clay, and plastic) using hand tools and power tools</li>
<li>Join pipes by use of proper supplies (i.e., screws, fittings, solder, brazing, grooving, plastic solvent, welding wire)</li>
<li>Work safely, encourage others to do so, and comply with applicable health and safety-related rules, regulations, and procedures and practices</li>
</ul>
<p><b>You should have:</b></p>

<li>Work experience as a Pipefitter for commercial construction projects. (Journeyman level experience is preferred, but not required)</li>

<b>Position Summary:</b><br>
The Journeyperson Pipefitter is responsible for the installation, fabrication, and testing of high-purity piping systems supporting advanced semiconductor manufacturing. This role requires a strong background in pipefitting, with emphasis on orbital welding, high-purity tube installation, and cleanroom construction protocols.
<br><br>
Working under the direction of a Foreman or General Foreman, the craft worker will perform hands-on installation in cleanroom and sub-fab environments, ensuring all work meets SEMI, ASME B31.3, ASTM, and project-specific standards.
<br><br>
<b>Key Responsibilities:</b><br>
<ul>
<li>Install, fit, and weld high-purity piping and tubing systems (stainless steel, PVDF, polypropylene, and other materials) in semiconductor cleanroom facilities.</li>
<li>Perform orbital welding, hand welding, and tube bending in compliance with strict cleanliness and quality standards.</li>
<li>Interpret and work from P&IDs, isometric drawings, and spool sheets to complete installations with precision.</li>
<li>Follow SEMI S2, ASME B31.3, ASTM, and client-specific piping standards.</li>
<li>Conduct field routing, fit-up, and alignment of process piping assemblies.</li>
<li>Execute system flushing, leak testing, and turnover documentation (including weld logs and as-builts).</li>
<li>Adhere to all OSHA 29 CFR 1926, site safety, and cleanroom protocols, including use of PPE and bunny suits.</li>
<li>Participate in daily toolbox talks, JSAs, and permit-to-work systems (LOTO, confined space, hot work).</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with QA/QC, commissioning, and other trades to achieve project milestones.</li>
<li>Maintain clean, organized work areas that meet ISO cleanroom classifications.</li>
</ul>
<b>Qualifications:</b><br>

<li>Journeyperson Pipefitter (Red Seal, NCCER, UA, or equivalent).</li>
<li>2+ years of high-purity or semiconductor piping experience (installation, orbital welding, tube bending).</li>
<li>Strong working knowledge of ASME B31.3, SEMI standards, and high-purity material handling protocols.</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret isometric drawings, spool sheets, and P&IDs.</li>

Pipefitting team members gain knowledge and experience in many systems, including heating and cooling, refrigeration, fuel, engine cooling, exhaust, sewage, bilge and ballast, and fire suppression.</p><p><b>
What You will Do</b></p><ul><li>
Form, fit, and fabricate metal and nonmetallic piping systems in marine vessels to engineering drawing during all phases of construction and rebuilds from spools and installation through sea trials.</li><li>
Perform job functions in range of work environments, including, fabrication shop, on modular jigs, or on finished assembly.</li><li>
Layout, cut, prepare, and assemble spools, piping systems in modals and final assembly.</li><li>
Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipe to required angle, using hand or power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, or pipe-bending machines</li><li>
Use a variety of power and hand tools including pipe wrenches, union wrenches, threading machines, tube and pipe benders, etc.</li><li>
Work from blueprints both in standard and metric to build complex piping systems, spools, and foundations for piping system packages.</li><li>
Perform basic tack and minor welds with MIG and Arc welding processes.</li><li>
Use various metal forming equipment such as sheers, band saws, rollers, bending and tubing, and presses.</li><li>
Use Oxygen/Propane cutting torches to cut pipe and plate in steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.</li><li>

 </strong>
 The Commercial Pipefitter Quality Assurance (QA) Representative is responsible for implementing and maintaining the quality management system for commercial piping projects. This role ensures that all quality standards and procedures are met and maintained on-site, with a focus on mechanical piping systems as well as air side equipment. The QA Representative coordinates with project stakeholders to guarantee compliance with quality objectives and industry standards such as ASME, ASTM, and local code requirements.

  Essential Functions:
  <br/>
  <br/>
 </strong>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Control and distribute all quality documentation for assigned piping projects.
  </li>
  <li>
   Monitor and oversee all quality-related activities on the project, with a focus on plumbing and mechanical piping standards.
  </li>
  <li>
   Attend client quality management meetings and represent the project's QA interests.
  </li>
  <li>
   Prepare and maintain project-specific quality system documentation, including inspection and test plans (ITPs).
  </li>
  <li>
   Oversee the disposition and resolution of nonconformance reports (NCRs) or rolling completion lists (RCL&rsquo;s).
  </li>
  <li>
   Recommend and implement quality improvements based on field observations and audit findings in accordance with contract documents, plans, specs, and equipment manufacturers&rsquo; recommendations.
  </li>
  <li>
   Coordinate QA/QC activities with the Project Manager and Site Superintendent.
  </li>
  <li>
   Maintain quality-related communication with customer representatives and inspectors.
  </li>
  <li>
   Monitor and report statistical data related to quality performance and outcomes.
  </li>

   Address and resolve customer complaints related to piping quality and installation.
  </li>
  <li>
   Archive all project documentation upon project completion in accordance with company procedures (ACC).

   Perform light administrative duties to support the Project Superintendent.
  </li>

   Perform hands-on piping-related tasks at project sites as needed to verify installation quality and assist with inspections.

Manual material handling must be performed in accordance with OSHA safety standards and company policies to minimize risk of injury.

  Required Education and Experience:

   8+ years of field experience in commercial piping systems.
  </li>

   Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and piping specifications.

   Strong problem-solving skills, especially with layout and installation concepts.

   Proficiency in basic math and ability to perform relevant calculations.
