Senior Civil Engineer

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to support a major infrastructure programme in Qatar.

The successful candidate will provide technical oversight and engineering support across civil and infrastructure works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, authority requirements, quality standards and approved designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Review civil engineering designs, drawings, specifications and technical submissions.
• Provide technical supervision and support during project execution.
• Monitor construction activities against approved designs and specifications.
• Review method statements, material submissions and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and client representatives.
• Resolve technical and constructability issues.
• Monitor progress and support reporting to project/client management.
• Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards and authority requirements.
• Support inspection, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
• Coordinate civil works with other engineering disciplines.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Extensive professional experience in major civil/infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience in roads, utilities, drainage and/or municipal infrastructure preferred.
• Previous consultancy/client-side engineering experience advantageous.
• Qatar/GCC infrastructure experience highly desirable.
• Knowledge of applicable international engineering standards.
• Professional/Chartered Engineer status advantageous.
• Strong technical reporting and stakeholder-management capabilities.
