Senior Engineer – Snowflake D&A (exp : 5+ yrs)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Snowflake Data & AI Engineer to join our data and analytics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, cloud-based data warehouse solutions, and AI-enabled data products using Snowflake. You will work closely with architects, analysts, business stakeholders, and cross-functional engineering teams to enable data-driven decision-making across the organization, including solutions powered by Snowflake Cortex AI, semantic views, and agentic analytics patterns.

Key Responsibilities
 Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake and cloud-native technologies.
 Develop and optimize Snowflake data warehouse structures, including schemas, tables, views, tasks, streams, stored procedures, and semantic views.
 Build AI-assisted analytics and data products using Snowflake Cortex capabilities, including LLM functions, Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, and semantic models.
 Design and operationalize semantic layers / semantic views that enable governed natural-language querying and business-friendly analytics.
 Support development of CoCo / CoWork-style agentic workflows, where AI agents assist users with data discovery, analysis, insight generation, and workflow automation.
 Integrate structured and unstructured data into Snowflake to support RAG, enterprise search, knowledge retrieval, and AI-driven analytics use cases.
 Collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to convert business questions into Cortex-powered analytical experiences.
 Integrate data from multiple structured and unstructured sources into Snowflake.
 Implement data transformation logic using SQL, Python, dbt, or other ETL tools.
 Monitor and optimize query performance, storage usage, and compute costs within Snowflake.
 Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality datasets, semantic layers, and AI-ready data assets.
 Ensure that data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards are maintained.

• Automate deployment and data workflows using CI/CD and orchestration tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline, semantic model, and AI solution performance issues.
• Document data models, semantic views, workflows, and technical specifications.

Required Skills
 Hands-on experience with Snowflake Cloud Data Platform.
 Strong proficiency in SQL and performance tuning.
 Hands-on experience with Snowflake Cortex AI, including Cortex LLM functions, Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, and AI/ML capabilities within Snowflake.
 Experience designing semantic models, semantic views, or governed data layers for natural-language analytics.
 Practical understanding of CoCo / CoWork-style agentic AI workflows, including agent orchestration, tool usage, retrieval patterns, and human-in-the-loop business processes.
 Experience building RAG-based solutions using Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
 Ability to translate business use cases into AI-enabled analytics solutions using Snowflake-native capabilities.

Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as: dbt
 Informatica
 Matillion
 Talend
 Airflow
 Azure Data Factory (ADF)

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
 Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, data architecture, and AI-ready semantic modeling.
 Experience scripting/programming in Python.
