The Senior Field Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating WISKOTS field-service activities, including coating and paint removal, surface preparation, metallic clamp installation and online leak-sealing support, coating application support, pipeline-integrity activities, and other related industrial services.
The role combines senior field supervision with technical and project-support responsibilities. The position holder shall ensure that field activities are properly planned, safely executed, technically compliant, adequately documented, and completed in accordance with approved procedures, client requirements, project schedules, and WISKOTS operational standards.
The position requires a technically capable and disciplined supervisor with strong Saudi Aramco project experience, proven ability to manage multidisciplinary field teams, and sound knowledge of project evaluation, technical review, estimation, method-statement preparation, operational planning, and project-management principles.
Field Operations Supervision
• Supervise the execution of coating removal, paint removal, surface preparation, coating-support activities, metallic clamp installation, leak-sealing support, and other WISKOTS field services.
• Mobilize, organize, and manage field teams, equipment, materials, tools, and site resources.
• Lead and control teams of at least 20 personnel, including supervisors, technicians, operators, inspectors, helpers, and subcontracted personnel.
• Allocate daily activities, establish work priorities, and monitor manpower productivity.
• Conduct daily coordination and toolbox meetings with the field team.
• Ensure that activities are executed according to approved procedures, method statements, inspection requirements, and client instructions.
• Monitor project progress, operational constraints, equipment performance, material consumption, and manpower utilization.
• Coordinate shift arrangements, work fronts, permits, access requirements, and interface activities with the client and other contractors.
• Identify site problems and implement practical corrective actions without compromising safety, quality, or contractual requirements.
• Ensure proper housekeeping, equipment preservation, and site organization throughout project execution.
Technical Documentation
• Prepare and review method statements, work procedures, job-execution plans, inspection requirements, and activity-specific work instructions.
• Develop clear and detailed descriptions of the intended work methodology, manpower deployment, equipment requirements, and execution sequence.
• Support the preparation of risk assessments, job-safety analyses, lifting plans, inspection and test plans, and other project documents in coordination with the QHSE and technical teams.
• Review client specifications, drawings, scopes of work, technical standards, and project requirements.
• Identify technical gaps, ambiguities, exclusions, assumptions, and areas requiring clarification before execution.
• Prepare daily reports, progress reports, equipment records, manpower reports, incidents records, technical observations, and project-completion documentation.
• Ensure that field records are accurate, traceable, and submitted within the required timeframe.
Project Evaluation and Planning
• Participate in site visits, technical assessments, tender reviews, and pre-project evaluations.
• Evaluate the feasibility of proposed field activities based on site conditions, access, manpower, equipment, materials, execution risks, and project duration.
• Break down project scopes into logical activities, resources, and execution phases.
• Estimate manpower, equipment, consumables, tools, working hours, productivity, and expected project duration.
• Assist in preparing technical and commercial estimates for field-service activities.
• Identify expected standby conditions, client dependencies, operational limitations, and potential cost or schedule impacts.
• Support the development of project execution schedules, mobilization plans, resource-loading plans, and daily production targets.
• Review lessons learned and previous project performance when planning similar activities.
Project Management Support
• Apply project-management principles related to scope, time, cost, quality, risk, resources, communication, and stakeholder coordination.
• Track actual progress against planned progress and identify delays or deviations.
• Report expected schedule, manpower, equipment, and cost impacts to the Operations Manager.
• Coordinate with Operations, QHSE, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, and Administration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support project kickoff meetings, internal handovers, client progress meetings, and project closeout activities.
• Maintain control over changes in scope and ensure that additional work is documented before execution.
• Support the preparation and verification of progress quantities, service tickets, timesheets, and invoicing records.
• Ensure that project deliverables and closeout documents are completed before demobilization.
Saudi Aramco and Client Compliance
• Apply Saudi Aramco worksite practices, documentation requirements, permit systems, safety expectations, and contractor-control requirements.
• Coordinate effectively with Saudi Aramco representatives, main contractors, inspection personnel, and site authorities.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco-approved procedures and project-specific requirements.
• Maintain valid records of applicable Saudi Aramco approvals, certifications, or previous project authorizations.
• Support personnel and equipment approval processes where required.
• Ensure that no work proceeds without the necessary approvals, permits, access, and site readiness.
Quality, Health, Safety and Environment
• Enforce WISKOTS and client QHSE requirements at all project locations.
• Ensure that field personnel understand the approved method statement, risk assessment, emergency arrangements, and applicable control measures.
• Stop any unsafe or technically unacceptable activity and immediately escalate the matter.
• Coordinate with QHSE personnel regarding permits, inspections, observations, corrective actions, and incident reporting.
• Ensure that tools, equipment, measuring instruments, lifting accessories, and personal protective equipment are inspected and fit for use.
• Support quality inspections and ensure that identified nonconformities are corrected and documented.
• Promote a disciplined field culture based on safety, quality, accountability, and respect for client requirements.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, Industrial Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline.
• A bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline may be considered an advantage but is not mandatory.
• Relevant technical training or certification in coating, surface preparation, mechanical maintenance, pipeline services, leak sealing, or industrial field services is preferred.
• Valid Saudi Aramco approvals, certifications, or documented previous approvals relevant to field supervision are strongly preferred.
• Valid Saudi driving licence is preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant industrial field experience, preferably within oil and gas, petrochemical, pipeline, refinery, or industrial-maintenance environments.
• At least 3 years in a field supervisory or site leadership position.
• Demonstrated Saudi Aramco project experience is mandatory.
• Proven experience supervising field teams of at least 20 personnel.
• Relevant experience in one or more of the following is required: coating and paint removal; surface preparation; industrial coating activities; metallic clamp installation; online leak sealing or mechanical repair support; pipeline maintenance and integrity services; mechanical field services; specialized industrial-service projects.
• Experience preparing method statements, procedures, technical reports, and project-execution documentation.
• Experience in project evaluation, resource planning, productivity estimation, and field-cost estimation.
• Experience coordinating with clients, main contractors, inspectors, and QHSE teams.
