Temporary Full-Time Nanny — Sole Charge, Midtown NYC (Live-In or Live-Out)

A warm, international family is seeking an experienced professional nanny for a temporary placement in Midtown New York. The role involves sole-charge care of two toddlers (21 months and nearly 5 years old) and is available on a live-in or live-out basis.

The family is currently based in New York until 20 June 2026, after which they will travel to Europe. There is the possibility of an extension for the right candidate who is available and willing to travel.

Schedule: 9:00am - 6:00pm, six days per week (one day off)

Start Date: Immediate

Location: Midtown Manhattan, 60th & Central Park area

Key Responsibilities

- Provide attentive, sole-charge care for two toddlers throughout the day

- Engage the elder child (turning 5) in school-readiness, creative learning, and enriching activities

- Support the younger toddler (21 months) with meals, nap routines, and developmental play

- Plan and lead outings including park visits, and indoor activities such as reading, imaginative play, and creative engagement

- Maintain an organised, positive, and child-focused daily routine

- Adapt to the family's schedule across their New York stay and, if extended, their travel to Europe

Requirements

- Teaching background or early childhood education training strongly preferred

- Previous experience in sole-charge care of toddlers and pre-schoolers, ideally in private households

- Warm, energetic, and engaging childcare style

- Strong spoken English essential; French, Arabic, or Mandarin a welcomed bonus

- Legally authorised to work in the United States

- Able to provide relevant childcare references

- CPR and First Aid certification preferred

- Valid passport required if the optional European extension is undertaken

Pay: $30-$45 per hour. The upper range is reserved for exceptional candidates with a formal teaching qualification, significant sole-charge experience, and relevant language skills.

Accommodation

Live-in or live-out arrangements are both considered. Private accommodation within the family's serviced apartment is provided for candidates relocating from interstate or overseas.
